Located in Fitzrovia, near Tottenham Court Road Station, Lucy Wong is London’s hottest new cocktail bar. Inspired by the beautifully written love story ‘A World of Suzie Wong’ by Richard Mason and its 1950’s Hong Kong setting, this venue encompasses traditional Chinese elements while incorporating modern twists to create a luxurious yet intimate space with a relaxed speakeasy feel.

On the food menu, small Cantonese plates centered around sharing, highlights traditional dishes such as Sui Mai and Har Gau. Roast duck and Char Siu pork take the fore in a succulent roast meats selection while adding sides such the signature fried rice, fried garlic shoots and jellyfish & cucumber completes the authentic Asian dining experience.

                                              I thought the design of the venue was really nice, the bar looked lovely. The service was really good, our waitress would come over and check on us and was helpful. The dj they had that evening was really good as well, the music wasn’t to loud which meant you could still have conversations.

                                              The menu is small yet the options are varied. The food is delicious, well portioned and great value for money. The service is impeccable. The cocktails are fabulous, especially with a two for one deal on a Monday.

                                              What an absolutely lovely afternoon tea. It was so nice to find something savory, the dumplings really were the star of the show. The desserts were delicious and not overwhelming. The service was wonderful, attentive but not hovering. The look of the place was absolutely beautiful. We opted for a low top table and that is the only thing I would change as I assumed a high top meant bar table. If you are looking for somewhere beautiful and interesting to grab a bite and a fabulous cocktail this is the place to go.

                                              We booked for dinner at 20:30 on a Friday evening expecting a relaxed and enjoyable experience with good food and drinks. We began by ordering dim sum, but were told there were no duck ones left and so that only vegetarian was available. We decided to have our starters first and then order our main courses after. By this time, it was 9:30 and we ordered the 3 main courses (there are only 3 available - all of which are meat), only to be told that there was not meat available, i.e., no main courses left. At no point prior did the waitress let us know that they had run out, and now all that was available to order were side dishes. There was no apology or pre warning from the waitress and we left hungry and very disappointed.
