We arrived 15 mins early. although there were only 10 tables full in the entire restaurant, the hostess asked us to wait then we were finally seated. When we arrived, I announce that we had a 530 reservation under the name of KL Robertson Daly after we were seated and eating our salad. I received a text message asking if we were on our way I had to go back up to the desk and ask her to please confirm our reservation with OpenTable please do not count us as late as we were not. It was a failure on the part of the restaurant hostess to properly check us in.

We went here for Valentine’s Day and everything was great! Caleb was our server and he was fantastic! The food and service was on point! We had a great evening….

I had made reservations for 6 for Valentine’s Day for the “Dish out some love heart pizza with a cookie pizza.” (Wine was the other option) It said $1 would go to Feeding America We brought 2 adults and 4 tween/teens. We ordered one each, but the server and the manager had no idea what I was talking about. They had heart pizzas, but no cookies or charity knowledge. I showed them my Open Table reservation and they brought out the cookies but then charged for them and then removed the charge. The server was fast with drinks, orders and apologized for not knowing about the “experience” we booked and had the district manager stop by the table. Food was slow because it was busy for Valentine’s Day and we ordered salad and wings to hold everyone over for the 1 hour pizza wait. The two younger kids had brought a card game, so that helped. Overall the kids loved the heart pizzas and valentines cookies, it was just frustrating for me.

We have always loved to eat Lou's at home via take out or delivery but tonight we were pleasantly surprised by an amazing experience at the Oak Park Lou Malnati's location for dine in. Our family of four came in and our server Mario was attentive from the start. I walk with a cane due to mobility issues and when a few other patrons almost caused me to fall Mario made sure I made it safely to our table and then went out of his way to make sure our food was timely and delicious. He even went as far as to get us extra of our favorite dressing for home. We will be back soon and hope to be with Mario!

We love this place, but be prepared to be there for a while. The food takes a while to come out.

The food is always excellent and prepared and served with love! Lou’s never disappoints. I will keep coming as long as that’s the case. Whether we order a thin crust or Chicago classic it’s yummy so are all the salads!
