Tiny neighborhood restaurant with excellent food and service. Tables crowded together with little room to get around with bulky winter coats.

We were two couples for lunch. We were punctual for the time of the reservation and the waiter had our table waiting for us. Two of us ordered cod livornese and the other two pasta with ragu and a salad. A Montepulciano wine paired good with the food. Everybody enjoyed their food. For dessert we had vanilla ice cream over apple pie and tiramisu to share. The food choices came on a timely fashion. All along the waiters were attentive bringing the food and refilling our glasses. I summary a nice cozy place with good food and service. This is a place to go back when in the Upper East Side

Superb. One of the best raviolis I’ve had. Great food and atmosphere, very attentive wait staff.

The food was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our pasta dish and veal chop which was cooked to perfection. We can say unequivocally that the dishes were outstanding. We do enjoy northern Italian cuisine and have been fortunate enough to frequent good restaurants in Italy. My wife and I highly recommend this cozy neighborhood restaurant.

This is a wonderful Italian restaurant. The food is very authentic. It feels like mama is cooking in the kitchen. The restaurant is small. Not sure how many tables, maybe 15. Because of this they are very strict with their reservations. They will gently move you along so your table will be ready for the next reservation. The service was wonderful. I love L’Osteria

Food was very good and we have been here for dinner several times and the food has been consistently very good. What I don't like and actually hate is the lack of ventilation. It was so hot yesterday that it was just uncomfortable throughout the meal. It was mentioned to the waiter to put the air on but if they did it certainly didn't change in the room. I have been there in the winter as well and the temperature goes from hot when the heat kicks in to cold when it turns off.

I was surprised to see how small the space was. But the noise levels were fine, even with children nearby and plenty of elbow room. Drinks were inventive and well poured. Had a late Sunday lunch and felt no need for dinner. Servers were very helpful with a handicap’s need for a different chair. I’m from The West Village so I was in very new territory. Get to this spot! You’ll enjoy it. Buon Appetito!
