I'd booked this restaurant a while back and was really looking forward to it, but found that the site was closed when I attended. Considering I live up to 2 hours away from London it was terribly disappointing to make the trip out only to discover that I couldn't even eat ay the restaurant and then to be tasked with finding a restaurant elsewhere. A note on the website is all that was needed to inform guests of closure.

Was planned for get together and extremely disappointing Restaurant closed due to renovation Poor communication between restaurant and booking sites As also received confirmation of booking email day before visit Still receiving opportunity to rebook emails! Unprofessional service and poor planning

Booked the restaurant weeks in advance only to turn up and find it closed down for refurbishment. It was for a birthday occasion and had received no communication from the restaurant at all about not being open. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

Food is great - service was on point - another great dinner One thing I would say though is the prices are a little high and I wouldn’t say I can see why.

The food was great and so was the service. The restaurant has a very calming and peaceful atmosphere which is always great. Will definitely be visiting again.

A lot of menu items were unavailable. We were also told they were only serving one cocktail off their drinks menu. It was a Saturday evening...

First time we went it was excellent but recently they seem to have changed the menu and reduced the selection. Also disappointingly on a Friday night they couldn’t offer anything on their cocktail menu and some of the dishes weren’t on. Poor organisation and it did affect the evening. Sad to say we probably won’t be going back in the near future.

Great place for a quiet lunch. We had the lunch menu which was cooked to perfection. Started with the smoked chicken, slow cooked lamb and finished with the brulee. The dessert was divine, not too sweet.

I was really looking forward to it. I told you in advance I was vegan. The only vegan option starter wasn't available Ble. The only IPA wasn't available. The food was dry, overcooked and limited. I wish you had called in advance to advise that Vegan options were not available. I guess the group booking took priority .....

The service was quite slow but the waiter was very lovely and polite. A few of us went out for lunch and had the set menu. It's a good selection of options for everyone including vegetarians. We all agreed the food was nice but lacking in spice, so ordered extra chillies on the side! My brulee had also curdled and did not have the lovely crisp crunch when you first crack into a brulee. Overall I would go again as presentation and ambience now, food and speed of service could be better however.
