Letty’s Tavern bringing a refined, yet approachable concept to Kennett, it offers elevated pub fare, east coast style pizza and boasts a new bottle shop. Letty’s is named after its resident spirit, Leticia who was named after William Penn’s daughter. She’s been known to visit from time to time. The unique gastropub and bottle shop takes their hospitality legacy seriously by featuring innovative and vibrant craft cocktails, as well as a thoughtfully curated wine and beer program. Letty’s brings a laid back, west coast vibe to the more serious shores of the east coast through great atmosphere, food, cocktails, and service. While unsurpassed hospitality is certainly nothing new, this concept is, and we are happy to share it with you.

    This is a nice local spot. Unfortunately, the night we were there the hostess forgot to tell the server he had our table. I finally went up to ask about service. I've decided not to wait 20 minutes again for service. Sunday, football day, it's loud in there so make sure you ask for a table in the dining area. The food was good, as usual. And once we had a server all was good.

    Went for brunch. The service was poor and the food was mediocre. The women’s bathroom was dirty. We were disappointed.

    Too cold- heat or fireplace was not on even though we asked about it twice. french fries were tasty but served like warm.

    Hostess was very friendly. We had a reservation for a high top and had to wait about 10 minutes. No big deal grabbed a drink at the bar and listened to the music. Once seated it took forever to get service. The waiter would stand next to our table and help the others next to us and then walk away. We finally caught his eye and called him over. We ordered the cauliflower appetizer, fish and chips and kennett burger. Cauliflower was good but the serving size was very small. Mains were good but the fries were over cooked. Finally we get the bill and both mains were higher priced than what was on the menu. Not sure if they’re expecting people not to notice but we did. This left a really bad taste in my mouth and we won’t be going back. Unfortunate because it’s a nice place and the band was great.

    This was our first time at Letty’s Tavern. We had been to Longwood Gardens, in the pouring rain. We showed up to Letty’s early, the gal at the reception desk was so accommodating, got us a table. The server was excellent, I could not decide what wine I wanted; he graciously brought me two tastes, so I could decide. We had the cheese tray; it was delicious. My husband had the short rib; it melted in his mouth. I had the fish and chips. The fish was delicious and was just enough, sometimes places give you this ridiculously large piece that you can’t finish; the fries were double fried; excellent. We finished this meal by sharing a piece of tiramisu. Probably one of the best pieces of tiramisu I have tasted. A wonderful end to a very wet day! Will be making a trek back to Kennet Square just to go to Letty’s !

    The food was delicious, but very slow at 90 minutes for an appetizer (that was forgotten) and a pair of pizzas. The service was really the bigger disappointment. I’ve had great meals and experiences here in the past, but today was a near total miss. The pizza flavor saved the day this time around.
