San Francisco-based Chef Mourad Lahlou and Hawaii’s own Chef Chris Kajioka have come together to create an elegant fusion of Moroccan inspired cuisine with vibrant Mediterranean flavors characteristic of the rich culture they celebrate.

Located in the heart of Kaimuki at 1108 12th Ave, Leila’s exquisite dishes represent the rich flavor profile found across the Moroccan landscape. With masterful craftsmanship and award winning service, Chef Mourad and Chef Chris’ newest restaurant addition embodies the stylish and charming personality of the surrounding neighborhood.

Enjoy the ease of family style dining as you relax in our lush and warm atmosphere while basking in exotic tastes that intersect at the places of rustic and unique.

Please be aware that we allocate 2 hrs max for parties of two and 2 hr 45 min for parties up to six. There is also a 20% Service Charge for parties of 6 or more. Mahalo!

                            What a lovely surprise! This was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Everything was so good and the quality of the food was excellent. Highly recommend the oyster appetizer special and the lamb neck - those were standouts dishes.

                            the food is so creative and delicious! my only suggestion would to be to arrive with a healthy appetite because it is impossible to finish every dish no matter how hungry you are!!1

                            Chris Kajioka is a fantastic Chef, Always a great meal from him and his team. Food was great and service was amazing, they even helped as someone hit and run my vehicle in the parking lot. they went above and beyond. overall fantastic service and meal!

                            We appreciated the knowledge and expertise of our waiter Devin. Without any hesitation, he was able to share information and recommendations on wines and food. And everything was delicious and complex!

                            Ambience and service was very good. The “seven salads” was so good and dessert was 11/10. As for the main entrees (lamb and fish), we could’ve done without which is why at $85/pp I didn’t think it was worth it.

                            Great concept and environment by the owners of Miro, Senia, etc. The service was on point and our server was incredibly knowledgeable in food and wine pairings and we enjoyed interacting with him. The food courses were made up of several small Moroccan dips and made to order flat spread which was tasty and well executed but there was a VERY long wait and transition to the main course of a shared platter of Wagu steak which was also good with couscous and farro sides. Enjoyed the elevated food experience, but…the overall dining experience feels overdone and pretentious. 2.5 hrs to eat bread, dip, and shared platter of steak was a bit much. Combined with a bill of $400 for two people inclusive of $36 for two glasses of vermentino and two mock tales left us feeling a bit unsatisfied. If service can be a bit more efficient amongst the servers, food runners, and kitchen team; I’d appreciate it more. Currently the fine dining niche attempted here feels clunky and overpriced. I’d rather just keep going back to Miro for a more authentic fine dining experience.

                            The 7 salads are excellent and very satisfying with the fresh endives and bread. We ordered the lamb, brazino and wagu beef, and the six of us voted for our favorite dish in the above order. Our overall experience was great with the exception of the wagu beef which was too lean to be considered marbled wagu. We do not think it is worth the $50 upcharge! The date cake with buffalo ice-cream was soooo delicious! My second time visiting the restaurant in 2 weeks!
