Legendary chef Michel Jacob passed the torch to his friend and Iron Chef America winner Rob Feenie in 2024, and Feenie still celebrates the restaurant's French origins while incorporating some of his West Coast roots. Expect Dover sole deboned tableside in an herb beurre blanc, steak tartare, and other classics served in an elegant white tablecloth dining room.

Excellent cuisine, beautifully presented and expertly served. Staff is so warm and welcoming that it feels like coming into a friend’s home for dinner. It’s wonderful to see that the traditions of a longtime restaurant are being carried forward by the new owner/chef who has brought his own innovations and creativity to the table. I’ve been coming many years to celebrate my birthday in one of the finest French restaurants in the world.

Solo traveler visiting Vancouver for a few days: After some google searches I stumbled upon this restaurant! Upon arrival they took my coat and stored it away which was very nice. I sat at the bar which had a lovely ambiance. It was dark with warm lighting. Service was lovely. My bartender was very thoughtful and did just the right amount of engaging throughout my time there. Really all of the staff were wonderful and very hospitable. I chose to do the tasting menu for December, which I enjoyed thoroughly. Each course took my taste buds on a journey. I enjoyed a cocktail at the start which was a great recommendation by the bartender. I also loved how each time a course was brought out, they would do a lovely explanation of it before having me indulge. I feel was though the pacing for my courses could have been better. The 1st to 2nd course had a noticeably long wait. My bartender reassured me it would be arriving throughout which I appreciated. The fish with the caviar (which I have pictured) was the highlight of the meal for me, the flavors were immaculate. All of the other courses were delicious, however did not leave the same impression on me. Overall, I truly enjoyed my time at Le Crocodile, and would recommend this in the future. I would also love to come back to try some more items off of the standard menu as well.

Very nice place, food and waiters. Little bit noise but didn’t bother us. I recommend and we’ll be back again

We chose the tasting menu! Everything was awesome and our server Jesse made it a really special occasion! Great job Rob Feenie and thanks to everyone at Le Crocodile who made it a very special night! We shall return!

The food was spectacular, however the dover sole to my taste was sub par, which they promptly removed from the bill. Overall an outstanding evening of dining.

We enjoyed three of the four dinner servings—a quality endive with blue cheese salad, although the apple slices were so small the taste didn’t come through, excellent PEI oysters, and best of class duck breast. However, the Dover sole was uncharacteristically tasteless without the sauce and the with the sauce taste only the sauce taste came through. The desserts—apple tart & profiteroles—were well made. The service was attentive and allowed for relaxed pacing. The corkage fee of CAN $70 is comparatively overpriced. Fortunately we brought a well aged, vintage wine for the occasion and resulted in a better deal than ordering the high marked up wine offerings.

A fabulous place to celebrate someone’s bday but we won’t wait for that occasion again. Well done Rob and team. High end French without the snooty wait staff.
