We had a wonderful evening. The restaurant was perfect. Service excellent. The chef made a vegan entree for us the was excellent. The music is a reason to return regularly.

We had booked a table for my birthday which was on March 6th. The hostess greeted us and said today is your birthday. I said yes it is. She took us to our table. The restaurant is beautiful. The waiter came and gave us our menus and the wine/cocktail list. 10 minutes later he came back and I ordered a glass of Prosecco and 2 glasses of still water. It took 20 minutes for the drinks to come to our table. Then another 15 minutes for us to order our food. The waiter was not friendly and seemed very disorganized. We ordered the mussels to share which were ok. I ordered the lamb loin with a side of brussel sprouts. My husband had the fish. Both dishes were very bland and luke warm. I had to ask twice for the side order of brussel sprouts, and when they came there were 2 on a plate cut in half. Seriously. That is terrible. We didn’t order dessert as I thought I would get one for my birthday, but nothing. We were not impressed. We heard such good things about the restaurant but won’t be returning.

El lugar quedó muy bonito después de la renovación. Pero la comida es regular y carísima !!!!

We have been traveling twice a year to Puerto Vallarta for over 30 years and we love to eat at the best restaurants. The Le Bistro has definitely made the list. Fabulous surroundings created a beautiful atmosphere with a nice selection on the menu. I can’t recommend this place enough, especially our waiter.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Le Bistro. We went on a Thursday evening in order to enjoy the jazz trio and they were excellent. The taped music played between sets was also lovely. The setting is gorgeous and romantic, service was very attentive and friendly and the food was delicious. We were seated at a comfortable table overlooking the river bed (dry at this time). We appreciated the space between tables. We thought it was an excellent value given the food quality, live performance and ambiance.

We arrived on time for our reservation, but had to wait 5 to 10 minutes before being seated, only to find we were not seated where we wished to be. Another 10 or so minutes til that was rectified. They had basically run out of pastries by that time, and only had 3 muffins on offer. Not the wonderful selection that we enjoyed last week. The service level was severely lacking as well. Instead of the experienced staff we enjoyed ladt week, it appeared we were at the hands of novices. When the waiter we had last week dropped by our table, he indicated that they had been overrun by walk-ins today. Also, due to the delay in being seated, we needed to order shortly upon arrival at our first table as the breakfast timeline was ending. Which resulted in our meals being delivered before we were in full receipt of coffee, juice and water. Not to mention the butter to go with the muffins remaining on the pastry tray. While I appreciate they are a new restaurant, they need a means to moderate the impact of unexpected customers to the detriment of those who made a reservation several days prior. This restaurant was high on our list for a repeat last week, which we did, but not so much anymore. They need to get their act together on a consistent basis to prevent situations like this occurring in the future.

We have walked by this location for years and saw this year that they had live jazz in the evenings (Thursday to Sunday). I decided to look it up and noted it was recently updated and reopened in late 2024. The reviews were all great so we made a reservation. From the ambience, to the service, to the food and of course the live jazz, it truly was an amazing evening. Our server shared with us what dishes he recommended and he was on point. We had the black truffle porcini ravioli, spring salad with goat cheese croutons, Parisian gnocchis, and pan seared scallops with rosemary butter. To finish we shared a chocolate and pure vanilla soufflé. Everything was done to perfection!! This restaurant is too good to not stop by!! We enjoyed a lovely evening and dinner. We will be looking to come back again.
