L’ ATELIER is inspired by childhood memories of home-cooked meals at the owner’s grandmother's farm.
Food lovers, we are a steakhouse " à la Française,” where a chalkboard menu highlights local fish & world’s class meats from France and beyond including USDA Prime Black Angus, Japanese Wagyu (Kobe and Kagoshima), Australian Wagyu beef, Iberico black pig, free-range lamb, duck, and dry-aged Black Pearl beef.
From the ocean, try our Kihada tuna steak of sashimi quality, mahi-mahi as fresh ceviche or crusted with fresh herbs, and our lobster linguini in a homemade creamy lobster bisque.
Vegetarian friends, you haven’t been forgotten and try our vegetarian risotto prepares minute just for you.
Our cocktails are crafted by our skilled mixologist, and our wine list features over 70 varieties.
Make sure to leave room for L’Atelier's signature dessert or the Chef’s special dessert.
This unique venue welcomes family and friends from Monday to Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Cindy and I had dinner at Atelier two years ago and it was good but the dinner we had last night was outstanding! The service was terrific and we loved chatting with the servers and learning about the food and where in France they came from. Our well traveled friends from SF, Dave and Petrita , loved the meal as well. We split a bruschetta for an appetizer and then each couple split the grandma slow roasted chuck over mashed potatoes with shallots. Yum! The creme brûlée was large enough for four people as was the signature ice cream dessert.

Some of the best food we have eaten on the island in the fifteen years we have been coming to Saint Maarten. The mahi ceviche was the best I have ever had and their beef courses are to die for. Loved that the owner came to our table. Must make a reservation. We will definitely make L’Atelier a dinner stop every year now. Just wonderful!

We had a wonderful meal at L’Atelier. Top quality all the way, friendly and efficient service, comfortable and quiet setting. The owner visits the table and makes recommendations - their signature deep fried poached egg was amazing and the tuna carpaccio was superb! I went with the french beef and loved it. My wife had the mahi-mahi - also amazing.

Remarquable! Alexandre le proprio donne un service exceptionnel que vous preniez le plat le moins cher de la carte ou le boeuf Kobe. Les autres serveurs le suivent dans la même tendance. Aucune prétention contrairement à certains restaurants de Grand Case. Et c’est tout simplement délicieux, notre meilleur resto à St-Martin

Outstanding meal! So nice to find exceptional beef in the Caribbean! The owner explained the menu and we loved the old world French recipes from his grandmother! Loved the experience and thank you to the well trained staff.

Amazing restaurant with top notch, creative food. Wonderful smoked tuna carpaccio, ceviche , the special egg and truffled bruschetta. Had a variety of the steak options. Specializes in high end beef but also has a seafood menu. We had to wait for our table well after our reservation time in this very busy spot. However, server immediately offered us complementary drinks on the house. After we were seated, the owner came to the table to apologize for the wait. Her personally took our order. We had additional wait time but all was handled graciously. Staff was accommodating and highly professional. In the end, the owner thanked us for our patience with free glasses of champagne. This is what hospitality is all about! Exceptional, highly recommended.

Our favorite restaurant in the island never disappoints. The food is superbly prepared from the best ingredients. Beef lovers will find many great dishes here, as will fish lovers. The service is impeccable and never intrusive, and the host is both charming and very professional. Reservations are a must.
