   This is one time where the reviews were actually very accurate. Excellent food prepared a bit differently than most other Italian restaurants. The waiter was beyond helpful and had a great personality which added to the dining experience.

   Overall I always love going to La Perla and have has wonderful times there. This past Saturday night was not as enjoyable as usual. I had requested a specific table for 4 people since my husband has a disability and has a hearing issue. We arrived early for our reservation and the table was given to another party of three people. They were extremely noisy and the restaurant was pretty empty at that time. I asked to move to another table across the room and the waiter refused to move us. Considering how many times we have been to La Perla and how many people we have brought to the restaurant I was upset and told the owner when she finally stopped to talk to us. It was really impossible to hear the person next to you talking to you, which really made the evening not very enjoyable. Under the old ownership the service was more attentive and professional. The food is still excellent, but the owner's response to me when I was leaving is not to come on a Saturday night since it's always busy. That will make me pause about coming back on other nights. She should have seen the situation differently and handled herself it vs letting a waiter address it. She was talking to the noisy table and never bothered to talk to us till we paid the bill and we're leaving. Shame, shame that's not she should have done! Disappointed...

We appreciate you and your family and always we will try to accomodate your requests. If that day we didn't do it, it was because it was not possible according to the reservations that day. We just suggested coming little bit earlier to avoid the crowd later on, but we will try anyways to acommodate the quiest table when you come in.    Nice restaurant overall, food was good, would have been a lot better if they used fresh vegetables, don’t care for frozen vegetables on a dinner plate.

   I didn't realize the place was so small. It was also very loud. Some acoustic treatment might help. Food, service was good.

   What a fabulous restaurant. We were visiting Pompano Beach from Boston for the week and I was looking for a restaurant to go to with my husband for my birthday. Read the rave reviews on Yelp etc and decided to take a chance. When we first saw the exterior we were hesitant. It’s on a main road, nondescript and next door to another restaurant. We decided to venture inside and were pleasantly surprised. It’s a small, quaint restaurant and we were immediately greeted with a warm welcome. Our server, Salvatore, was very personable and very efficient as were the staff. He made us feel most welcome. The homemade bread basket and olive oil was a delicious start to the evening. The burrata and prosciutto appetizer was superb. The portions were very generous and we could have made a meal out of that. The wine choices were great. My husband had the veal piccata. It was so tender, he could cut it with a fork. I had the gnocchi with peas, mushrooms and meatballs which was outstanding. Had plenty left over to bring home. We then attempted to share the profiteroles which are all homemade as well. Again, delicious. They were kind enough to then bring us two mini cannolis with a birthday candle which we also got to go. I wish we had found this restaurant at the beginning of our vacation so we could have come back a second time. If you have the opportunity and love Italian food, do not hesitate to visit LaPerla di Pompano you will not be disappointed.

   I had family members visiting from MI. Since my family loves good traditional Italian, I took them to La Perla for dinner. We started with Caesar salad. La Perla made the best Caesar salad I've ever tasted. It had just the right amount of dressing and was topped with sliced Parmigiana cheese. The dressing was so flavorful and so delicious. I had the chicken Toscana, my sister ordered the linguini with clams and her husband opted for the sole with vodka sauce. We were all happy with our selections. Everything was so delicious. We finished our dinner with lemon cake and baked apple pastry with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. My family wants to come back to La Perla the next time they visit me. Everything was perfect, the food, the service, and the hospitality. Highly recommended.
