   Finally a hip spot for dinner in Bellevue! Loved the DJ setting the atmosphere with salsa and meringe music, it is a lively place. If you are looking for quiet and romantic this is not the place. Food was delicious, you have to try the Cebiche Trio, that was an absolute highlight, fresh raw halibut and tuna chunks in 3 different flavors. We ordered the catch of the day with yellow rice and seafood and the beef tenderloin with rice. Both dishes were larger portions than expected, fish and beef were cooked perfectly. The service was fast, cocktails were good but a little pricey. entrees are a little pricey too at $52. be prepared to spend about $220 for dinner for 2. Fun spot for date night, birthdays and special occasions.

   We went for a birthday dinner based on a review of new restaurants in the area. While this is not an inexpensive place, it was well worth the price, and that is saying a lot with the high cost of eating out these days. The food is a very inventive take on Peruvian food with the freshest and most flavorful of ingredients. The flavors are artfully layered and are a true delight on the palate. We thoroughly enjoyed the ceviche sampler, eggplant, tacos and lomo saltado, all were outstanding. For dessert, I usually don't like chocolate cake but this one was light, not too sweet, and layered with mousse and other things with cacao nibs to give it just the right crunch and bitter contrast. The fritters were also delicious - super fresh, hot/crunchy with just the right amount of soft/chewy insides. Service was excellent - our staff was knowledgable and attentive with excellent pacing of the meal so things flowed smoothly but not rushed or overly delayed. We hope La Mar is very successful and stays for a long time as we will definitely be back.

   Excellent. The seafood is so fresh and the dishes are inventive. The service was fantastic and drinks were delicious. We loved it thoroughly.

   La Mar has become our favorite special occasion restaurant. Because the cuisine is unfamiliar, the food is an experience that consistently surprises and delights. Our favorites this time: the Quinoa Salad was an unexpectedly fresh, citrus treat. The Lomo Saltado was tender, rich, and irresistible. The Pescado Enchichado had just a hint of spice that added to its delicousness. And with its moist, deep chocolate flavor, the chocolate cake remains our favorite desert. Two areas that would improve what is overall an exceptional experience: While the service is generally responsive and friendly, our primary waiter was consistently slow to stop by. It easily added 30+ minutes of waiting. Fortunately, we were in the company of friends so the waits were simply an excuse to spend time with them. Because I am hard of hearing, we come early when the restaurant is least crowded. The hosts are wonderful at accommodating our request for seating in a quiet area. But quiet is relative. We may be unusual on this: The loud music is always a challenge. When the restaurant gets crowded, which is where that added wait time gets to be a problem, no matter where we are seated, it is unpleasantly loud and hard to hear. These two frustrations won't stop us from coming...We will definitely be back to try new treats!

   Really enjoyed our experience at La Mar tonight! The classic cebiche, arrroz con marisco and tres leches were delicious and the service was fantastic. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Bellevue!

    Always a fabulous experience at this amazing restaurant!!! we have been multiple times and it is absolutely our new favorite. Everything is perfect from the welcome to the servers, and the food is exquisite, not only in appearance, but also taste is quite spectacular, the different elements of each dish are perfectly combined for the most delicious taste .
