Located at 699 14th Street on the coveted corner of 14th and G Street NW, La Grande Boucherie is situated on the most high-profile street in Washington D.C., just one block away from the White House. The restaurant is built in elegant and ornamental Art Nouveau style, evoking the sense of optimism from the turn of the 20th century. The brasserie’s menu features both classic and modern French dishes, with focus on the meat program, raw bar and extravagant large-format meats, ideal for sharing and celebrating. Mahogany wood and glass partitions divide the gargantuan space to create intimate dining experiences. These pieces are adorned in gilded accents and uniquely curved arches inspired by the 20th-century Art Nouveau movement of Paris. The main dining room highlights a massive curved bar with a metal top imported from Paris, a signature piece of Boucherie.

It was me and my husband’s 16th wedding anniversary. It’s also our first time in LGB-DC, everything is outstanding from cocktails,the food, the staff—I am planning to have our thanksgiving dinner this year and where best to celebrate it but in LGB!

Half price bottles of wine were really a treat! Was my second trip here first with a large group which I’m not sure I would do again but food quality was great wait staff awesome

I was hopeful it would be similar to the NYC restaurant but it just didn’t come close. My steak was medium well not rare but since the server didn’t return for 40 minutes I couldn’t share the feedback. I had to ask a busboy for a bill after an hour of no check in. Just overall disappointing

Nice, but loud at times. Bistro tables, so there was nowhere to place my clutch. My "date" and I felt a bit overdressed. Overall, a good experience, though an expensive one.

Did not seem truly French - more like americanized French. The food was ok - nothing special. Both our entrees came out lukewarm. Maybe because of how busy they were. It was our anniversary so we didn’t complain. Service was excellent. If you are looking for an authentic romantic french dining experience La Grande Boucherie isn’t what we recommend. Also a bit pricey for food quality.

Wonderful evening and fantastic food and Cocktails! This was our first visit and will definitely return! The noise level was very high but understandably due to the space itself.

We arrived at 5:00 and let our server know that we were going to a 7:00 show. We left by 6:45 completely satisfied with our delicious meal. Never felt rushed. The place was almost at full capacity by the time we left. The interior is stunning!

It is a lovely venue. Service was good, but the server became a bit overwhelmed with a large table. Steaks were too well done, not medium as ordered. Brussel sprouts were delicious. The best part of the meal was the cheesecake and latte.
