We had an amazing experience at La Favola! Food: the food was delicious. You can taste the flavour and the great quality. It is not mass produced. It is made with love and it shows through the taste. Customer service: Fabio was our host. He build rapport with us and guided us through the menu. He was welcoming and spent time to talk with us and explain all about the food the restaurant makes. He made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed our meal and birthday celebration. Vibes: chic yet down to earth atmosphere. Very cozy. Awesome live music. Overall experience: very welcoming, all staff greed you with a genuine smile. Great experience. Would recommend to all.

Claims to be authentic Italian but carbonara has cream. The waiters, particularly one, asked us twice, if the plate was finished despite having some of the food left and we werent actually finished yet. They were rushing us out of the table and rushing the mains. I understand the seatings need to be managed but too aggressive. Food was better couple of years ago (been going here since 3 years ago) and back then the carbonara didnt have cream. Che schifo, ma perche?

Everything about this restaurant was superb - the food, the service and the atmosphere. Do not overlook this jewel in the middle of Newtown! We had a nice new waiter (new to the restaurant) who was diligent in his service. His friendliness was not unnoticed. The food was outstanding. The fresh pasta made such a difference. Additionally, the price point is spot on.

Food and wine is beautiful and a really great atmosphere. We love the homemade pasta and different choices you can select. One of our fav restaurants in Newtown.

Excellent all round. Service was what a lot of sydney restaurants don’t do well. La Favola puts their customers at the centre of why they exist. We were made to feel welcomed from the moment we had to wait outside for our table in a very busy small venue, attentive service with unobtrusive smiles. Well done!

This was my 2nd time at La Favola. The first time was a great experience. This time when I was there, the waitress who served us was very rude and being very sneaky with upselling, asking if we wanted water, and when we replied yes, gave us bottled water that you have to pay for, rather than the table water that was clearly available. She constantly was rushing us and clearly just wanted us to spend more money and get out. Once we got to dessert, we felt very uncomfortable, and didn't want to stay any longer, but she became more intense. The food is fantastic and I will come back again, but if the same waitress is there, I will turn around and find a new place to eat. the fantastic food was not worth how uncomfortable I felt on this visit.
