La Cabrera by Gastón Riveira, the internationally acclaimed and multi-award-winning restaurant from Argentina, recently opened its second location in Miami. Gastón Riveira decided to undertake this journey despite the economic challenges in his country because he had a clear vision: he wanted to transform the typical Buenos Aires grill into something that would stand out, not only because of the quality of the product but also by providing a unique and unforgettable experience. “La Cabrera is a creative space where I can express myself and explore new dishes, but it is also the place where I take pleasure in not only revamping and improving but also diversifying the classic dishes that I am so passionate about.” The secret lies in our grilling methods, using special techniques and constantly experimenting with new ideas. La Cabrera is a baroque neighborhood bistro with an atmosphere that mixes history.

Mixed reviews for our first visit to La Cabrera. Our expectations were high and some of the highlights were quite good like the melted provolone starter served table side and the Cowboy Ribeye which was delicious. But the regular ribeye was an extreme disappointment and honestly far below the quality of the Who.e Foods ribeyes we prepare at home. Environment was really nice but our particular service was terrible. Our waitress would literally disappear for long periods of time to the point I had to track her down several times just to get refills on water and drinks and got to the point of just going up to the bar directly. We'll likely go back but with much lower expectations next time around.

Very nice team and great service Nice place. Food was over average but not exceptional. The meat (flat steak) was a bit hard. Not as tender as expected. Blood sausage a bit fat. French fries…. Very, very average (so, expensive for their quality). I think a few adjustments would make this place be super great.

It was our first time, and will certainly not be our last. The food quality and service were terrific, atmosphere delightful, and reasonably priced.

I highly recommend the Rib Eye and Mac & Cheese. The meat literally melts in your mouth and the Mac & Cheese has a nice crispy layer on top that is delicious. This restaurant is super nice inside. Great for dates, celebrations, or just to treat yourself to a nice meal. Ayrton was the best server/bartender! Thanks for everything!

Place is awesome! The food, service, and the atmosphere. From the Grilled empanadas (you have to try them) to the amazing skirt steak, I’d say this is one of the best meals I’ve had in Miami in a long time. Make sure you get the Dulce De Leche crepes as they are the best way to end your meal! I will be back and often!

From the moment you step inside, you're welcomed into a warm, lively atmosphere, with ambient lighting and cozy seating that instantly makes you feel at home. The restaurant’s authentic Argentine charm and décor create the perfect setting to indulge in its rich culinary heritage. The menu is a celebration of Argentina’s finest offerings, with each dish carefully crafted to highlight bold flavors and quality ingredients. The star of the show is, without a doubt, the steak—cooked to absolute perfection. The tenderness and flavor are simply unmatched, with every bite melting in your mouth. They also offer an impressive range of sides and appetizers that truly elevate the meal, from savory empanadas to chimichurri-drenched veggies, each dish plated beautifully and packed with flavor. My wife ordered the New York Strip with melter blue cheese, I ordered the Filet Mignon, and we shared mashed potatoes, a salad, and other small bites. We ended up with the Dulce de Leche hotcakes We did not order wine this time, but they have an impressive wine list to choose from and to pair with your meal. A huge shoutout to Giancarlo, our server, whose service was nothing short of outstanding. His warm, attentive approach made us feel like VIPs, and his deep knowledge of the menu brought each dish to life. Giancarlo’s recommendations were impeccable, and his genuine passion for the restaurant’s offerings enriched our experience immensely. It’s rare to encounter such a dedicated server who goes above and beyond to ensure your night is memorable. Whether you’re a steak aficionado or simply looking for a place with heart, warmth, and incredible food, La Cabrera is a must-visit destination in Coconut Grove.
