Sungchul Shim, formerly of Per Se and most recently Neta, opens his first solo project Kochi in Hell’s Kitchen

KOCHI - Korean for ‘skewer’- a tasting menu of skewered dishes as well as menu items inspired by traditional Korean cuisine that’s built around seasonality and balance.

We are proud to present this menu as an homage to traditional Korean flavors elevated by the hand of gastronomic technique. Incorporating the freshest local ingredients daily, this is our exquisite interpretation of Korean cuisine.

    Eccellente... Ambiente confortevole senza le formalità dei ristoranti Stellati dove ho cenato... Chef e La sua squadra dietro al bancone sono spettacolari.... Cobo raffinato con influenze Asiatiche Americane e Italiane ci hanno positivamente sorpreso.. Un ringraziamento allo staff di sala che con sorrisi e professionalità hanno accompagnato la nostra cena Dovete andare se siete in zona Complimenti....

    We visited for brunch Ordered 2 signature margarita cocktails which were excellent then eggs Benedict and shrimp burger My burger has to be the best I have ever eaten succulent shrimp in a crispy coating sweet brioche bun and a spicy slaw side of perfectly seasoned chips my partner enjoyed his eggs but maybe should have been a little more adventurous with his choice! We were gifted a couple of extra sides the waffle and a Korean sausage dish both were delicious. Service was attentive our only issue was restaurant was a little chilly.

    Great experience since we never had diner at a Korean restaurant before. And we love asian food so this was a welcome new surprise for us. We recommend this highly is you like to eat something different then Japanese, etc.

    The food experience was exceptional and beyond in every respect. The service however whilst attempting to be personal and was indeed polite, rather I found it was a race against time. The talking speed of the servers was too fast, memorised dish by dish, rather than from the heart it was function. Plate clearing and next course delivery was fast. No time to breathe. We in fact were told we had to vacate our table within 2 hours upon arrival. And before our neal was over the bill was placed on the table. And it was passed the two hour mark - our neighbours has both already rotated. Hey guys you got your Michelin, you wanna make money, don’t rush !

    An amazing gem in Hell's Kitchen, close to the theater district. A fun, energetic place with inventive Korean-inspired dishes. The 9-course menu coarse was a celebration of flavor and imagination - and the bar seating makes it even more fun. Highly recommend.
