King Bar at the landmark Garden City Hotel is an Open Table Diner's Choice Award recipient featuring New American cuisine by Executive Chef Anup Patwal. Enjoy whimsical dishes like naked or dressed oysters, David Burke's signature clothesline bacon, and other shareable plates served with an array of signature cocktails, fine wines by the glass, and local beers.

Breakfast: weekdays 7am-11am, weekends 7:30am-10:30am
Lunch: Wednesday to Saturday, 12pm-4pm
Sunday Brunch: seatings 11a-12p (Reservations Required)
Dinner: Nightly, 4pm-10pm

Dress code: tastefully casual. No hats, sweatpants, tank tops, crop tops, flip-flips, open toe shoes on gentlemen, or pool/gym attire. Hoodies are allowed, but hoods must be worn down.

For parties/reservations of 8 or more, a $50 deposit per guest is required, which will be redeemed on the date of the reservation.

This was an epic fail. There was a Christmas menu dominated by beef. We ordered the fixed price meal ($175/pp). The white wine was not cold — had to ask the waiter to get a different bottle. My appetizer showed up before the amuse bouche. The wait staff seemed confused that I was expecting it. The amuse bouche was the best part of the meal. The burrata was tasteless. The chicken was tasteless. The waiter didn’t come by our table to ask if everything was OK. Even when I said to wrap my meal so I could give it to my dog, he was utterly disinterested in my experience. Our table had two of the three of my party staring at a wall. None of this was OK.

The staff was very accommodating . Waiter seemed new , didn't know the menu or how the food was prepared . The menu was very limited . Drinks were great ! Ambiance was beautiful. Def would go back to sit at the bar and have some apps. The menu was very limited and no specials. That was disappointing

Sat in main dining room where we could talk to each other. Very noisy in bar area. Overall a nice time.

Food, drink and service was excellent. Kudos to the current chef! However, It was loud in the restaurant.

Always a nice place. My friend and I wanted to celebrate our friendship and Christmas. Surf and turf was very good. It was noisier than usual but we figured because of the time of year.

Another excellent lunch! The King Bar never misses a beat. We ordered the tuna tartare, lobster roll, and the pear & taleggio salad, and each dish was amazing. The flavors were exceptional, and the presentation was top-notch. The service is second to none. I always leave feeling satisfied and eager to return!

Came here to enjoy an early thanksgiving dinner. We wanted to do the a la carte menu, so we decided to go here instead of the salt room. We were initially seated at a table meant for 2, when we were 3 right by the door. it was very tight. Someone came up to us and let us know that we could be moved into the salt room with a table for 4, which gave us so much more table space to enjoy food and drinks. After that, everything was lovely. Service was attentive. We were between the two seating times so the restaurant wasn't overly busy or crowded. The thanksgiving feast had all the fixing and they had a great wine selection. We'd love to and will come back for the weekend brunch as well as dinner at either locations to enjoy their normal menu fare. They also had peanut brittle at the host reception, which was delicious.
