Located in the heart of historic Fairfax City, Kelly's Oyster House & Bar offers fresh, vibrant sea fare from the Atlantic Ocean and Chesapeake Bay. Situated just across the street from the City of Fairfax's courthouse and two blocks from the town square, Kelly's is the perfect restaurant for all occasions. Whether you're grabbing a drink with friends or celebrating a birthday, wedding, or anniversary, we at Kelly's are excited to see you!

Kelly's boasts two cozy front dining rooms, as well as a large "Maine" bar and an oyster bar. On warmer days, our covered front patio is open to walk-ins. Furry friends are invited to join us in our outdoor space, but we ask that they stay leashed and with their owners at all times.

Kelly's is owned and operated by Bill Hamrock and was established in the spring of 2024, and is a sister restaurant to Hamrock's Restaurant in Fairfax City.

    First time at Kelly’s. Food and service was excellent, little noisy, but what isn’t anymore.

    We went for lunch so no crowd at all. Frankly, I can see the appeal as the oysters were fantastic and so were the burgers we got. While the drinks were alright too, I wish they had more whiskey cocktails. Most of what is on the menu is loaded with sugar. I asked the waiter to do an old fashioned and to not make it sweet/too sweet as were the ingredients in their signature one. Luckily, he did just that and it turned out ok. Only thing I’d change is the amount of ice you put into the old fashioned. I get a whiskey ball maybe too much, but it was overloaded with ice, should half the amount. Other than that the oysters were cleaned and well priced. Our server did a good job as well and made the overall experience a good one, catching that we got shorted an oyster and making sure things came out hot and in good time.

    I really enjoyed the crab cakes and the service are good but that’s about it.

    We've been to Kelly's several times since it opened earlier this year and have been very impressed. The food, the service, and the ambiance are all GREAT. The kitchen will make alterations for us and the food comes out exactly as requested. The wait staff are all wonderful -- friendly and professional -- they make you feel right at home. This is another superb restaurant by Bill Hamrock -- don't miss it!

    A hidden gem in downtown Fairfax near George Mason. The food is SO delicious and picture worthy, the bar drinks are a “yes please, I’ll have another”, and the service is unmatched. Looking forward to trying their brunch sometime!

    Food was pretty good-could use a little more flavor in deviled eggs and some of the sauces. But overall flavors were very nice and the value was very good. We'll be back. Service and atmosphere were great.

    Great dinner with friends. The menu had ala carte choices and a 3 course dinner option. I had the she crab soup for my appetizer & it was delicious! Ou server was very good too.
