Welcome to Kapa Hale!

Kapa Hale has a modern influence on Hawai'i Regional Cuisine. We promote local products and combine them with familiar ethnic influences that showcase a cuisine that can only be found in today's Hawai'i.

We can help to celebrate life's special events -- whether it's a large party or an intimate prix-fixe menu. We can accommodate different styles of events -- cocktail reception, sit-down family style menus, etc. Chef Keaka Lee was recently recognized as a James Beard semifinalist for Best Chef in the Northwest and Pacific. And finalist for the Vegetarian category for the local Hale 'Aina Awards by Honolulu Magazine.

We're located next to Olive Tree Cafe, outside of Kahala Mall. We have a small, private parking lot.

    The best meal we ate on Oahu! Creative menu, fantastic cooking, excellent wine list, and spectacular dessert. We can’t wait to return to this unassuming restaurant.

    Every dish and cocktail tasted amazing! Many of the cocktails are on the sweeter side, which I love, but they might not be for those who prefer less sweet drinks. The daily specials or off-menu items were a bit hard to remember, and my parents, who don’t speak English, couldn’t understand them. But in the end, it didn’t matter because everything tasted great! They timed the à la carte and main dish perfectly, and the atmosphere inside was nice and comfortable. The prices aren’t cheap, but I think you get what you pay for—and it was totally worth it. I highly recommend this place and am adding Kapa Hale to my list of favorite restaurants!

    The food was so good. Favorites included the pastas, liver mousse pate, beef tartare and desserts! Indoors was noisy with all the groups eating but outside, you could carry a conversation with ease.

    Great place. Exquisite food. Not sure if it can be helped but on a Saturday night it was noisy. I had trouble conversing with my friend.

    Food and service was excellent! Highly recommended for a comfortable casual lunch. Easy parking and a perfect setting for friends!

    Was able to make a same day reservation for Sunday brunch for a party of 8. We had a great time. Our dishes were well prepared and delicious. We started with the corny break, pumpkin loaf, salad with beets and naan with curry. I had the chicken and waffles. Other dishes from our party were the Loco Moco, Haupia Coconut pancakes, avocado toast and eggs Benedict. Kapa Hale is a great neighborhood spot for creative dishes and elevated local ones. We will definitely be back.
