EXPERIENCE TEPPANYAKI
Japan Inn was established in 1990 when founders opened their first location in Plantation, FL. Since then we have been serving an extended variety of Japanese and Thai food including fresh sushi. We had the honor to be named Best Sushi Restaurant in Plantation by Hometown Herald readers.

In 2002 a second location was opened in Weston, FL, and soon enough it was voted Best Japanese Restaurant by “Best of Weston”.

Our third location was opened in Doral, FL during the summer of 2019, and we plan to keep growing to share our food and entertainment with our customers all over South Florida. The Japan Inn Group also owns Kimura Japanese Steak & Seafood located in Boynton Beach, FL.

I recently dined at Japan inn and had a great experience! Chef Ivan truly stole the show with his outstanding personable and culinary skills. Every dish was perfectly cooked and was interactive! Our server, Sue, was pleasant and kind, always greeting us with a smile. However, it did take a bit longer than expected to get her attention when we needed something. Overall, the food made up for the small wait for service, and we left feeling very satisfied. Would definitely return for Chef Ivan's amazing dishes!

On March 6th, We were a party of four celebrating a birthday. Our reservation was at 7:30 pm and we were seated 30 minutes later. We sat at our table and waited an hour before the chef arrived to start cooking. The wait time was ridiculous, and it's the second time our chef doesn't do anything special during the meal. It was so late we were the last table left at the restaurant and of course only 3 staff came out to sing happy birthday. I paid a bill close to 600.00, and I definitely don't feel it was worth it. Our last visit to the restaurant I had a similar experience and I doubt I'll be returning. Your service and time management need major improvement. Thank you, Mrs. Bosch.

It had been several years since my husband and I had eaten at Japan Inn, but since we remember liking it so much, we decided to take a friend there. The three of us were seated immediately and then ordered our food. Our friend had the Yaki Udon Dinner with shrimp and my husband and I shared the Yaki Udon Dinner with steak and the Pad Thai with chicken. Our friend said she enjoyed her dinner but my husband and I thought the two dishes we had were just mediocre. This was because our Pad Thai had a strange flavor which was sprinkled on the chicken. It appeared to be some kind of salty rub that we were not very fond of. We have eaten Pad Thai in many other restaurants but we had never tasted this strange seasoning before. As for the Steak Yaki Udon Dinner, it was just OK. The entree had noodles and vegetables in it along with the steak, and although the steak was tasty and very tender, the noodles were very slimy. We do not know what kind of sauce was in the dish, but it was definitely the sauce that made the noodles slimy. To conclude, the service was very good and the ambiance was very nice, except for the loud singing and table-banging that went on whenever the servers visited a few of the tables to recognize some of the other diners who were celebrating birthdays. My husband and I will probably return, but next time, we will opt for a simple stir fry.

It was the best day ever. Food was to die for, service was expectacular, and the atmosphere was just pure joy. The best Valentine dinner of my life. Love it, love it, love it!!!!

Keep in mind we were there for the holiday Valentines weekend. It was extremely busy. If you’re looking for a big-time hibachi show, that’s really not what I would expect. But the food quality is really really good. You do have to fight for whatever service you’re trying to get with multiple tables with very few servers. I would definitely recommend bringing a drink from the bar because you may sit for 10 to 15 minutes before you ever see a server. Once the cook starts, you’re pretty much on your own. Great spot for a birthday. They make a big deal out of it!

It was wonderful! I took the kids I babysit and it was their first time experiencing hibachi and they had an awesome time.

We could not eat there. They overbooked, we got there at 8:40 they had not sat down people yet who had reservations from 7:30pm. I waited for 10 mins to talk to someone but they were overwhelmed with people complaining and we left somewhere else. The app would not let me cancel. Total waste of time and gas
