We loved our meal at Jalwa start to finish. The cauliflower appetizer and scallops large dish were our favorites! And don’t forget the delicious cocktails!

The dinner experience was amazing! The food was so tasty - we got the spicy cauliflower dish, paneer baklava, saag burrata and lamb pastry appetizer. I would order everything again! They even gave us extra rice to take home with our leftovers. Drinks were good & we felt the prices were fair. - Great experience!!

From the time we entered the Resturant the staff was very pleasant. Our server. Nevil K was very knowledgeable of menu items and specials. The chairs were very comfortable with a hook on the back for your purse. The table setting was beautiful. The table presentation was great. The food was delicious. The Madras Magic martini was on point.

We had an amazing time celebrating my birthday at Jalwa Indian Bistro! The hospitality and service were excellent from the moment we walked in. The menu includes traditional Indian dishes with a twist, frequently improved by pulling inspiration from another foreign cuisine. The dining experience is upmarket, with attentive and welcoming service. The menu itself is a fantastic surprise! We were a party of five, and everyone at the restaurant was incredibly attentive and helpful. The atmosphere and attention to detail are superb. Every aspect of your stay as a guest has been carefully researched. We enjoy Indian cuisine and we’re excited to have a new spot to explore. The experience begins with their hazy spice fragrance, dramatically showcased at the table - a sight we had not encountered previously! Every item on the menu is prepared from the ground up, and their dedication to incorporating freshly squeezed juices in all beverages is praiseworthy. We appreciated their contemporary interpretation of Indian food. Their presentation is outstanding, with each dish designed with accuracy. The complimentary birthday dessert, a cake inspired by Bun Maska and Chai accompanied by ice cream, was a wonderful surprise. We’re definitely coming back to eat here.

This was our second experience at Jalwa, and we continue to love the offerings, as well as the service. We FINALLY have an upscale, artistic Indian venue in the RTP area that respects heritage with fresh, quality ingredients and masalas, while being inventive in creating a sensory experience that's as visual as it is flavorful -- without being pretentious or bland. The ambience is elegant -- even the menus are uncommon! And the food -- excellent! The karampoodi cauliflower is covered in a crispy South Indian masala, and rests in a North Indian sauce, accompanied with Italian burrata -- and it's delicious. The palak paneer baklava is rolled in pastry dough, baked and served with hummus and topped with micro greens - flavor combo of the Mediterranean and Punjab is exceptional. Our son had sworn off eating out at Indian restaurants in North Carolina after eating terrible food at Tamasha. He said he'd only eat home cooked Indian foods, but truly enjoyed the mixed grill, especially the seafood, and Jalwa's unusual presentation of the butter chicken with crispy croquettes. It's a very new restaurant and the management wants the restaurant to continually evolve, not just rest on its opening success. We have previously lived in London, Washington, DC, New York, and Chicago, and tried all restaurants in every world city. I think our local Jalwa would raise the bar for those highly rated restaurants in global cities to improve and match what Jalwa is already doing. I hope word will get out about Jalwa, so it's chefs can continue to evolve, invent and create for local patrons, like us, who come from bigger cities and have waited for such dining experiences that offer more than watered down Punjabi offerings or overly crisp cracker-like South Indian dosas with bland boiled potato and unseasoned chutneys. Jalwa's modern flair would seem contradictory, but it works to highlight our proud ancient roots.
