   With so many steakhouses in New York City, it’s easy to overlook some of the historic stalwarts. I recently dined at Il Mulino Prime in SoHo and was thoroughly impressed by both the service and the outstanding food. Our porterhouse steak for two was perfectly cooked and flavorful, complemented by delicious vegetables, a well-balanced Caesar salad, and a fresh tuna starter. The wine list, though small, was thoughtfully curated, and the desserts were exceptional. Service was attentive without being intrusive, adding to the intimate experience of this 13-table gem. A solid evening at a spot that deserves more recognition.

   Honestly everything was great. The pasta was cooked to perfection. Our ribeye was also exactly how we wanted it. The staff was attentive and welcoming. I will go back!

   Amazing experience. It was a busy Valentine’s Day dinner and they still found the time and effort to make us feel valued. Esteban was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The food was delicious! Bone marrow is a must try for anyone going! The oysters were cold and fresh. The veal was soft and perfectly cooked as requested! Thank you Il Mulino for a great dinner!

   Great food and great service. Went for restaurant week and ordered the meatballs and hanger steak - both were exceptional!

   We were pretty steady customers of this restaurant a few years back and enjoyed their pastas. When we moved back to the neighborhood, we decided to revisit this restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. The Caesar salad was fine, but nothing special about it. I ordered one of the specials- veal scalloping. It was thick and rubbery. Difficult to cut and chew. I ate 1/4 of it and left the rest. What bothers me more is that no one asked if there was anything wrong, given my full plate. Seemed like they don’t want to know if it was good or not. Very disappointing. Sides were very bland.

   I wish my server knew a little more about some drinks questions I had such as wines and tequila availability, but he was very nice and gave us good service. The ambiance is cozy and busy, I asked for a specific table on the notes and the lovely manager made it happen without me asking a second time. Will definitely go back again the food is always really good!

   Great experience… Caesar salad was fresh and not overpowering. The tuna tartare was perfect. And the pasta was delicious. And The strawberry shortcake was over the top…

    Loud place, you can barely hear your thoughts. Service is very slow And food takes a long time to arrive.
