The Hudson Hound Jersey City. A modern American restaurant and bar with an Irish personality.
Our goal as a Modern American and Irish restaurant and bar is to serve you high quality, in season, fresh ingredients using as many local producers as possible.
Bringing contemporary touches to traditional dishes and creating new, innovative dishes from the world around us today.
Outdoor seating is available on a first come, first served basis (cannot reserve).
The snug is a must see cozy private space for up to 10 guests with direct access to the bar, seating is banquette and bar stool seating and has a private TV for all sporting events.

    The food and service was fine, the issue was with the reservation. I made a reservation here through openTable and was asked to confirm TWO times once, actually through OpenTable, which I did. When we got to the restaurant they said they didnt have a reservation for me and I was shown the tablet also. We were seated after some back and forth but was told we could only have the table until 6:30 (which was about an hour and a half after our reservation) again which was odd because 1) that is a really long time, but 2) the place was virtually empty. No knock on the food and the service after that point as it was actually stellar, but that experience was really upsetting, especially considering I confirmed TWO times.

    Sean our waiter was phenomenal. Funny, helpful, kind and on top of everything. We went for my S/O bday and they treated him with a warm choc brownie with caramel and ice cream. He had the Fish and Chips and loved it, which is saying a lot bc we just had it in England. The Adobo wings app with 6 pcs was huge and very good. I had the burger and took half of the burger and fries home bc they gave so many fries which were insanely crisp and golden. Love this place. Will def try it again!

    Food good all the way around. Service sporadic and slow. Took forever to gets drinks. Had the feeling they were short staffed.

    We were excited to try the Full Irish Breakfast! While the boxty, tomato half, and rashers were delicious, the canned beans and jarred mushrooms left a little to be desired. The black and white puddings were pretty good. The veggie burger in the Vegetarian Full Irish was dry and crumbly. The eggs over easy were bland and goopy. The soda bread could have used some Irish butter and jam. Our server made an awesome latte even though he said it wasn't his strong skill. Unfortunately, due to the underwhelming plate, loud rap music, and awful parking situation, we won't be back.
