We booked to have Christmas Day lunch at the Aton restaurant. We were initially disappointed for their indifference regarding my wife’s Coeliac disease which requires her to have a gluten free diet. In this day and age, not pronviding a gluten free alternative for bread or biscuits to have with cheese is not customer focused whereas a vegan diet, a lifestyle choice, was catered for. Then on the day, we arrived for our 2.30pm reservation but were not sat down until 3pm having to wait in the ‘bar’ which was in fact just a corridor. We were told the reason for the delay was because some guests had changed their pre-order. This should not have been allowed and demonstrated a flexibility not show. Regarding my wife’s medical condition. Then I was told I could not have a barista type coffee as they were only doing filter coffee and yet while standing waiting for over 30 minutes in the bar/corridor a saw the bartender make cappuccino’s. Despite knowing that my wife was Coeliac her starter came out with bread. It was taken away but I have little confidence that a non contaminated starter was returned and I can’t help thinking it was the same plate with the bread removed. Other than that, the food was excelent and we enjoyed our meals. However, it is unlikely we will chose Heavens Kitchen again for Christmas Day lunch.

I had a confirmation of my booking for 22 people at midday on Christmas Day. Unfortunately, the tech hadn’t quite worked, so the restaurant didn’t have this booking on their system. Despite this, they managed a nifty rearrangement of tables and accommodated us with grace and charm. The food was excellent, as was the service. Very impressive. Especially as they had a second shift of diners at 2:30

The wines, food and service here are all consistently very good. The staff are friendly, professional and attentive.

This would have been the first time we had dined at heavens kitchen and it most certainly will not be our last! Camembert started was sublime, the only issue was there wasn’t enough ciabatta to share, fantastic taste! And both steak mains were stunning, 12oz ribeye really is something to try if you like your steak of course. Will be returning!

Fabulous meal as usual, had to ask to be reseated as we were next to a group of loud workmen who kept coming in and out for cigarettes. Katie, our service was great, very friendly, helpful and assisted in making our dining experience 5 star.

We’ve been to HL for the 1 4 2 stake night which was excellent so we thought we’d try the Sunday lunch, equally excellent. Would definitely recommend, enjoy!

The service was good but we were unable to add supplements, that we were happy to pay for, from the Specials menu. For example Champagne Sorbet, hold the chips and no onion rings. They are included and therefore free????? Overall the food was delicious but the Chateaubriand came as one large chunk and bled all over the plate. To be fair we were asked if we wanted to wait before the main course was served and in hindsight that should have been a yes.
