Centrally located in Uptown Charlotte, Haymaker Restaurant, from Chef Chris Coleman, brings locally inspired and seasonal food to the Queen City. Our kitchen reinterprets the bounty of the piedmont area and Appalachia, and explores our foodways, both historic and present across our region. Our classic American lounge serves local brews, fine wines, and handmade cocktails. Dine & drink in our bar & lounge, main dining room, mezzanine, or sidewalk patio all overlooking beautiful Romare Bearden Park in the heart of Charlotte.

Please note that Haymaker is a two-story restaurant with stairs. Please contact the restaurant if you require first floor dining.

We had a party of five for Saturday brunch, but at the last minute, we changed to a party of seven. Despite it being a very busy day, the hostess was fantastic—she found a table to accommodate us without hesitation and with a warm smile. Her effort made our experience even better

The restaurant wasn’t super crowded and yet the service was really slow. Food and drinks were OK. We love this restaurant but think it was just an “off” day for them.

I like that Haymaker is farm to table. The restaurant is large and the service is good. The food was a bit bland for my taste buds. We had pear and expresso martinis. They were ok. The chocolate dessert was really good. It was a nice way to end the meal.

Incredibly poor service and mediocre food. I really wanted to like this place and it was convenient to the Panthers game. Sat about 20 minutes after our reservation time and then waited another 15 minutes to get a server. Second round of drinks (ordered before food arrived) finally came when we were finished. $120 for a brunch for 2. Would not recommend.

We had a party of 6 and it took a while for our drinks to be delivered and an hour for our entrees to come. Food was fine. Overall a disappointing experience.

Have visited here many times and have never had a bad experience. Sorry to see the brunch menu has fewer selections than the past but still good.

We had a fantastic brunch. The chicken biscuit sandwich was worth the flight alone from Chicago. The drinks were great. Service was amazing - really attentive and friendly.

We arrived on Saturday morning when the restaurant opened. Despite the restaurant being empty, we were turned away for not having a reservation. We walked out of the restaurant and made a reservation on OpenTable for the current time and walked back in to be seated. Several others were turned away for not having a reservation even though the restaurant was empty and reservations were available online. If the restaurant is reservation only, that should be made clear. We also weren’t told until the end that they couldn’t split checks on parties of 6 or more. Everyone working there had a snobby attitude. The food was different but not bad.

They had a problem and took almost one hour to get our food… but the food was delicious and we got a 10% discount + free dessert. And the girl was perfect always nice and friendly… unfortunate for the wait.
