Welcome to Hawksmoor Chicago, where we bring our acclaimed steakhouse experience from the UK to the iconic LaSalle Powerhouse in River North. Our ethos is simple: ‘Buy the best and let it shine.’ We serve all-natural, pasture-reared, dry-aged beef from US family-run farms, cooked over charcoal and seasoned simply with sea salt. Our seafood, sourced from trusted Northeastern fishermen, is prepared with equal care.

In our 16,500 sq ft space, featuring barrel-vaulted ceilings and touches from the Golden Age of Travel, Hawksmoor is perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re stopping by for cocktails, a casual lunch or a special celebration, we make sure you leave full and happy. We also offer private dining for groups of 10 to full venue buy-outs for 500—ideal for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and corporate events.

And don’t miss our Sunday Roast: dry-aged beef, beef-dripping potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and bone marrow gravy—something like a Thanksgiving dinner every Sunday.

Sundays at Hawksmoor are all about our Sunday Roast: all-natural, dry-aged, slow-roasted Rump served with crispy beef dripping potatoes, Caraflax cabbage and carrots, gigantic Yorkshire puddings, lashings of bone marrow & onion gravy and the option for a side of cauliflower cheese or slow-roasted bone marrow and onions. Sunday Roast dates back to the 15th century where large joints of meat were roasted on a spit over an open fire; to achieve a similar flavor, we start ours on our charcoal grill and finish them in the oven. Many who've had a Sunday Roast equate it to a Thanksgiving dinner – a comforting, filling meal that is best in the company of loved ones. And, should a Bloody Mary, or two, be consumed alongside it, who are we to judge?

From feasts of grass-fed beef and sustainable seafood, to wine tastings or casual dinners, with expertly crafted cocktails and canapés, we can work with you to make your sharing menu dining event an experience like no other. With names inspired by prize cattle, we have created sharing menus featuring our favorite iconic and seasonal dishes, at a range of prices to best suit your occasion. Please see pictures below for menu choices details. Menus are all served family-style - with the steaks cooked to order, sliced and served in cast-iron skillets with our legendary sides and sauces. Have you heard of our Monday Wine Club? It’s a simple concept: bring any wine you like – doesn’t matter if it’s a first-growth Bordeaux or a bottle of Barefoot – and we’ll only charge you $10 corkage (for up to two bottles). Not sure what to buy? Take a stroll over to our neighbors at the Aqua Wine & Spirits store (they’re literally on the other side of the street) and they’ll help you choose something to make your meal pop. You can even call us ahead of time and ask one of our somms what they suggest.

NYE at Hawksmoor was a great experience all the way around! The prix fixe menu provided an abundance of delicious food and the staff was very accommodating to some dietary restrictions. A very enjoyable evening in a beautiful setting.

Appetizers very good, especially the mushrooms and beets. Rib chop very good. Cream spinach a bit too much rosemary.

Went for NYE dinner and got the set menu - value for what we got was spot on and will definitely be back. Food was delicious and had good variety. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Ambience was relaxed and cozy!

Food was bland. Portion sizes for the steelhead and steak tartar were way to small. Same for the sides. The meat was very bland as well and over cooked. We asked for two of the steaks medium rare and they were all overcooked which is insane to me for a steakhouse. They need to do better for how expensive it is you expect a certain quality and at the bare minimum for them to get you steak cooked properly. The best thing was the publican bread which is not even theirs.

Service was very good, Kimberley?? Shrimp cocktail was chewy, caeser salad was huge for one person, more don’ts than do’s… Filet can be red or well done. Strip was WAY larger than I would have preferred. Service was great, desert fantastic, in between, just ok. Expensive for just ok

This was honestly one of the highlights of our holiday season! What an absolutely fantastic experience! The restaurant is lovely, the entire staff are warm and welcoming, the drinks are amazing (the Bloody Mary is one of the best I’ve ever had and I’m from Wisconsin! Haha), and the food is absolutely phenomenal! Can’t wait to go back!

Excellent experience. The Sunday roast reminded us of our Scotland trip. Nice portions, great service, and a very nice wine list. Really enjoyed.

Sunday Roast - dry Yorkshire Pudding and hard to chew ‘pink’ roast beef. The cocktails were great, win by the glass very expensive.
