Welcome to Hawksmoor Chicago, where we bring our acclaimed steakhouse experience from the UK to the iconic LaSalle Powerhouse in River North. Our ethos is simple: ‘Buy the best and let it shine.’ We serve all-natural, pasture-reared, dry-aged beef from US family-run farms, cooked over charcoal and seasoned simply with sea salt. Our seafood, sourced from trusted Northeastern fishermen, is prepared with equal care.

In our 16,500 sq ft space, featuring barrel-vaulted ceilings and touches from the Golden Age of Travel, Hawksmoor is perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re stopping by for cocktails, a casual lunch or a special celebration, we make sure you leave full and happy. We also offer private dining for groups of 10 to full venue buy-outs for 500—ideal for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and corporate events.

Our team, led by Hawksmoor legend (and assistant general manager) Zach Ballard, has created a menu of top picks that'll hit the spot without hurting your wallet. From Steak & Fries for just $25 to the Notorious B.E.E.F Burger, $2 Oysters, cocktails (all $13 or less), and even a meal deal that’ll leave you more than happy. The new Hawksmoor Hacks menu is available 7 days a week from 5 PM - 7 PM.

Sundays at Hawksmoor are all about our Sunday Roast: all-natural, dry-aged, slow-roasted Rump served with crispy beef dripping potatoes, Caraflax cabbage and carrots, gigantic Yorkshire puddings, lashings of bone marrow & onion gravy and the option for a side of cauliflower cheese or slow-roasted bone marrow and onions. Sunday Roast dates back to the 15th century where large joints of meat were roasted on a spit over an open fire; to achieve a similar flavor, we start ours on our charcoal grill and finish them in the oven. Many who've had a Sunday Roast equate it to a Thanksgiving dinner – a comforting, filling meal that is best in the company of loved ones. And, should a Bloody Mary, or two, be consumed alongside it, who are we to judge?

With names inspired by prize cattle, we have created sharing menus featuring our favorite iconic and seasonal dishes, at a range of prices to best suit your occasion. Please see pictures below for menu choices details. Menus are all served family-style - with the steaks cooked to order, sliced and served in cast-iron skillets with our legendary sides and sauces. Sharing puddings complete the feast.

It’s a simple concept: bring any wine you like – doesn’t matter if it’s a first-growth Bordeaux or a bottle of Barefoot – and we’ll only charge you $10 corkage (for up to two bottles). Not sure what to buy? Take a stroll over to our neighbors at the Aqua Wine & Spirits store (they’re literally on the other side of the street) and they’ll help you choose something to make your meal pop. You can even call us ahead of time and ask one of our somms what they suggest.

So.. Hawksmoor...went here for the first time back in October. On that first trip, I was mind blown. Drinks were amazing, entrees were amazing, apps were amazing..just completely exceeded my expectations. Last night we went back for my 40th birthday. It was a 5 PM reservation so we could keep our daughter on her typical schedule. As such, it wasn't very busy. However, took 15 minutes to get our first drink order in. First app, which were the beef dropping chips (aka fries) took 40 mins to come out. When we tried these the first time we went...might have been the best fries I had ever eaten. Last night, I could have got better fries at any fast food place of your choosing. I had to flag the waitress down to get a second drink..which took at least 20 mins. The steak was on point. Zero complaints with it's cook or flavor. The sides, on the other hand, were terrible. The first time we went, the mushrooms were, again, probably the best mushrooms I had ever had. Last night's tasted like someone took some frozen mushrooms and basically butter poached them. Not appealing at all. Also, I'm pretty sure the sides shrunk...in half. Last time a side was plenty enough to be shared across a table of 4. The sides last night were barely enough for one person to enjoy. As I originally stated, this was my 40th bday celebration. I even was sure to note on the reservation that it was my birthday. Yet, no birthday offering of any sort. Was never even mentioned by the waitress. No drink offer ...no dessert offer....no discount of any sort...nothing. First time in my life I've ever gone out for a bday dinner in Chicago and they did nothing to acknowledge it. This all pains me greatly because I have been raving about this place to colleagues and friends based on my first experience, to the point that colleagues have scheduled upcoming business dinners here that I will now urge them to cancel to avoid any misrepresentation. Still gave a $60 tip and feel cheated for doing it.

Came for the Sunday lunch. Not our first visit, but seems like the beef is not as good as it used to be - way too high percentage of fat vs meat. Food also came before our drinks, which was weird. Desert was fantastic.

Sunday Roast was good. Felt like there could have been more beef for $42 price tag. Sides were very good. Sticky toffee pudding was excellent.

This was our first time at Hawksmoor. We decided to try a new restaurant to celebrate my wife’s promotion at work! The restaurant was amazing, the steak, drinks, and dessert were all superb! The service was also top notch. We will definitely be returning to Hawksmoor!

The food is OUTSTANDING, every dish was incredible. A solid 5 stars for flavor, quality, taste. Service was okay, not great, as I would expect for the cost of the meal. Didn’t like that our table of 7 had an automatic 20% gratuity applied, so there’s no way to distinguish mediocre service from great service.

Delicious food and excellent service! The Steak Tartare and the Rum Breqd & Butter Pudding were standouts, though the steaks with bone marrow gravy should not be missed. Overall, fantastic meal!

My first experience wasn’t the best, however I decided to give it another try and man oh man was this experience simply the best. Hawksmoor is easily becoming my favorite steakhouse 💯
