Unabhängig und familiengeführt... die Familie Pounds eröffnete das Harry’s im Jahr 1993 und ist stolz darauf, es in dritter Generation zu führen. Das Harry’s Restaurant feierte im vergangenen Jahr seinen 21. Geburtstag und hat sich als die Speiseklause in der Nahrungsmittelszene der Gegend etabliert; es ist ein freundliches und lebendiges Restaurant, das Ihnen zu erschwinglichen Preisen Qualität und ehrliche Küche bietet. Tatsächlich, mit Hauptgerichten die ab leckeren GBP 9 starten! Vom Bauernfeld auf den Teller ist hier der Ethos. Das Restaurant strebt danach die bestmöglichen Zutaten auf den Tisch bringen und arbeitet mit einigen fantastischen Lieferanten aus der Region zusammen. Das Fleisch im Harry’s wurde zu 100 % in Devon produziert und trägt das South West Quality Meat-Zertifikat.

We had been to Harry‘s restaurant before, and our experience had been good. This time sadly, we had a much poorer experience. My wife ordered the tuna and specifically asked the server how pink it would be. Our server explained that it was only “slightly pink“. In the event, she found the thicker parts inedible as being very bloody. To be fair, without asking, the manager removed that item from my bill. Another issue is the accompanying green vegetables. I had the pork milanese and it was accompanied by only rocket covered in parmesan. There was masses of it when really a more varied salad accompaniment should have been provided. Fortunately, I’d ordered some fries which went someway towards making up both my missing items and my wife’s missing tuna. On a more complimentary note, we had two glasses of wine which were excellent. I’m sorry but we shall not be returning.

We felt the food was very overpriced. My partner had a burger which was red in the middle, if he had realised it was going to be like this he would have asked for it to be well done. This along with a bit of salad and coleslaw and a few dry oven fries (frozen) was £23. My crab linguine was tasty but not worth £25. Overall we shared a small starter, main each and a bottle of wine to share for £85. Not value for money at all. We had a gift voucher fortunately, but won’t bother again.

Harry's is a good place to have a good meal in a relatively quiet place, We enjoyed our food and the excellent service.

Lovely atmosphere and great service. Superbly cooked fish, so tasty. Rather crispy chips, but that's only a matter of taste, and they were replaced and also removed from the bill. Harry's has been going for a long time because it's a consistently great place. Really recommend.

The staff were fabulous and also very knowledgeable about the menu and able to make recommendations. The table was quite small and my husband was sat facing a wall with his back to the rest of the room. I totally loved my meal it was delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly but it wasn’t the hottest, I understand steak needs resting after cooking but it really was quite cold, despite this I still enjoyed it. My husband had a T-bone and asked for it medium rare and when he got it I thought it was really rare. I know he could’ve sent it back but he didn’t and to be fair he ate it all. Overall the food was good and we enjoyed our meal, but it wasn’t the absolute best we’ve ever had. I would eat there again and would probably recommend it. The venue is nice, and as I said the staff were fab.
