   This was a big disappointment. We set up a reservation 4 days in advance and proceeded to drive to the venue the day of. Once we found it, we entered the facility only to find out that there was a plumbing issue as pointed out by what we assume was the bartender. We mentioned we had a reservation well in advance of our trip. We felt they could’ve at least contacted us to let us know that there would be no food served. He offered no apology. And only said “like I said there’s no water so…“ We had to drive back the way we came at least 15 minutes to find the nearest restaurant to get lunch prior to our hike at Hamilton Pool. Needless to say, we are never returning and cannot recommend this winery.

   What a hidden gem! The grounds are stunning and the wine is terrific… It’s worth the drive. Ideal place for a dreamy afternoon/evening escape to the hillcountry. There are several lovely areas for photo-ops, too. Only cons: Their appetizers are a bit bread-heavy and their bathrooms are outdoor stalls. Perhaps one day they’ll have live jazz or honky-tonk music to liven up the peaceful vineyard?

   Amazing day we had at this vineyard! Beautiful scenery, it was also decorated for the pumpkin season and we enjoyed some wine testing and bites.

   This place had amazing service and great wine! Robin was the best and be sure to check out the seating outside for views of the farm and vines.

   We celebrated Father’s Day and had the best time! The tasting was fantastic (left with 6 bottles of wine) and the food was wonderful (got to go boxes lol). Will definitely be back!!

   Wonderful experience. Driving out there makes you feel like you are going to old Hill Country. Beautiful land. Wonderful wine and very knowledgeable staff. Very accommodating. We tried just about every app and every single one of them was delish. Especially appreciated the home grown vegetables used in each plate. Definitely a must destination when visiting Austin.

   Hamilton Pool Vineyard under new ownership is only a little more than a year on the Vineyard scene. The location is superb and dining al fresco by the vines brought memories of Europe and Napa. The outdoor space is spacious for many to spread out. The parking area and outdoor table grounds are covered in small rock which kept mud to a minimum even with the recent heavy rains we are having. The indoor tasting room is rather bland so would highly recommend visiting on a day the weather allows outdoor sitting. Limited food menu since it is not a restaurant kitchen(yet) but good quality, however a little pricy for what you receive in terms of quantity. We started with the charceuterie board and shared a couple paninis. The board was good but somewhat light for the $ 20.00. The Paninis (Capresse and Bahn) were good but the salad greens were basically an afterthought in quantity and flavor. Very few greens with a slight balsamic drizzle. The balsamic drizzle was very light and we asked for extra. The paninis at $ 13 and $14 were high for what was received. We started with the wine tasting. I would suggest providing a pitcher of water for rinsing since you are asked to use the same glass for all 4 varietals. We had to ask for the water. We had both Classic and the Austin Collection tasting. The wines were presented from light to full body and were all very good. We ended up purchasing the Gold Buckle and the Tempranillo. Finally, the staff was friendly and the service was prompt. In summary, my real rating is 3.5 for high strength in the beautiful outdoor setting and good wine. Would recommend a trip.

   We pulled up as they were about to close, but they welcomed us in! We got excellent service and the food was fresh and delicious. The chef even made us some hummus to take home after we raves about it! We tasted all the wines and loved them! Will definitely be back and will take friends and family! Best Texas winery experience.... and we’ve hit them all!
