Hacienda San Angel Gourmet offers a breathtakingly elegant and scenic setting, ideal for romantic dinners and special celebrations. Our full-service roof-top restaurant creates memorable upscale Mexican and international meals. DRESS CODE in place is to maintain a fine dining experience. Shirt collars are required; flip flops, tennis shoes, t-shirts, tank tops and beachwear are not permitted.

Experience live mariachi bands up to four evenings each week during the off-season and six nights a week during the high season.

Indulge in unforgettable upscale Mexican and international cuisine at our rooftop restaurant, where full-service dining is provided.

CHILDREN 4 yrs and younger are not allowed. This venue is not suitable for young children.
2 HOUR table limit for 6pm & 6:30pm reservations for parties of 4 or less however we have an area for you to enjoy music and drinks after your dinner if you are not ready to leave.

    A wonderful experience with great food and great service. The brunch was delicious but it is difficult to get a reservation.

    Hacienda San Angel Gourmet is an absolute gem in Puerto Vallarta. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning Spanish colonial architecture and breathtaking rooftop views of Banderas Bay. The ambiance is romantic and elegant—perfect for a special evening. The service was outstanding, with attentive staff ensuring every detail was perfect. The highlight of our night, however, was the mariachi band. Their performance was nothing short of symphonic—one of the best we’ve encountered in our travels. The food was equally impressive, with fresh, expertly prepared dishes that showcased both local flavors and international influences. From start to finish, this was an unforgettable dining experience. If you’re in Puerto Vallarta, Hacienda San Angel is a must-visit.

    Start to finish a great dining experience. Great service, food was top notch, great view of the bay, enjoyed the Mariachi band, topped off with fine desserts.

    We have always had Hacienda San Angel as one of our top dining choices on our annual visits to Puerto Vallarta. Unfortunately, our recent experience upon our arrival to the restaurant for our reservations has tainted our desire to return. After arriving and checking in with the host, it took him and four other colleagues 10 minutes to come up with a table, we were then escorted to a table immediately next to the bathrooms (table shouldn't probably be there to begin with given its location). We requested to be assigned another table which took another 10 minutes to find a table in the back of the restaurant. When asking about other open tables, we were told they could not be reassigned. On a more positive note, the food and table service were very good. Too bad that our start of the evening was not consistent with our expectations for such a wonderful restaurant.

I am also sorry that one bad night erases all of the good nights. I do give my team credit for all rallying to try to help you when you rejected your table that had been prepared for you. We only had what we had left to choose from. Other tables had been reserved for others so it was just not possible to give you those tables. I am really sorry.     We have had the Sunday brunch many times here. This time we were placed in a corner back by a plunge pool with one other 4 top table. There were 5 of us. The service was not up to par as we felt forgotten about back there. After we let them know towards the end of the meal they started showing up. Our reservation was 12:30 pm. We like to eat this kind of buffet at our leisure, but we were told the food would be removed by 1:30. Last we told them when asked if it was a special occasion that it was my husband’s Birthday. They did nothing to make it special while we did see them acknowledging other Birthdays around us. It was our first disappointment with Hacienda San Angel .

    Have been going here for years. Today was a disappointment. Food was ok but limited variety of choices compared to earlier years. The servers were very disorganized, often 3 different ones asking us the same questions. Even though we made reservations months ago, we had to wait and when we were seated, it was off to a corner at a wobbly table. The violinist was loud and played incessantly the whole time; Like nails on a chalkboard. This will be our last visit.

    Thank you for your patronage. I am sorry you did not enjoy us as in the past. I will talk to the team to explore but regarding the selection and the music...I have added more to the buffet than what was offered before and Moises is the same violinist that has been playing for 10+ years for our seasonal buffet. I will absolutely address the wait you described as that is not acceptable and I don't want that to repeat. I apologize again and I am glad you have had better experiences here to remember.
