Habaneros has been a local favorite for the last 16 years featuring Mexican fusion cuisine designed by renowned Chef Tadd Chapman After 16 years serving San Jose del Cabo in Plaza Mission we are excited and grateful for our new beginning and opportunity in the beautiful courtyard of El Encanto Inn and Suites. Habaneros Mexican Fusion cuisine focuses on locally sourced and sustainable ingredients blending Mexican traditions with international flavors and ideas featuring fresh seafood, creative takes on Mexican classics, unique signature creations and grilled meats.

Excellent restaurant - we had an incredible meal. The live music was off the charts. It was our first time here and we will definitely be coming back.

We both ordered the fish special which was Snapper and it was delicious! All of the wait staff were very accommodating.

First time at Habaneros. Love the ambiance & vibe. It was a quiet night, but can imagine it gets lively and fun. We had Prawns and taquitos for starters. And some xl margaritas. They were delicious. Fresh yellowfin for main. That was perfectly prepared. Thank you Kevin for your delightful attention to my Mom, who is celebrating her 86th year. She appreciated the special birthday treat.

It was the first time I ever heard of or seen Chile Wellington on a menu. It was incredible! I tasted my wife’s short ribs selection and it was very good too. The back ribs on the open grill would have been my second choice. I’m not usually a dessert person; however, I have a weakness for ice cream and churros…be sure to leave room for that! With so many great restaurants in downtown San Jose I’m glad we chose this one and were able to use the Open Table app.

While it’s known as a great evening spot, the breakfast was off the charts. Our waiter was fantastic and helpful. The cup of coffee was hot and fresh, a mark of a good breakfast spot. The surprise was the homemade cinnamon roll and fruit skewer! The roll was incredible. We got the avocado toast and breakfast sandwich. The bread was freshly baked added significantly to both orders. The green juice was an awesome recovery tool from the tequila fog of the previous night! The courtyard is amazing and beautiful. Try to arrive at 8:30 am or 9:00 am!

Wonderful atmosphere, elevated food and friendly service. The vegan jacima sashimi was incredible.

Beef tartar we ordered for appetizer was overseasoned, too sour Main courses - pressed pig and chile Wellington were well prepared. Good service. Would come again

Great little spot in a beautiful courtyard. Very friendly service staff reasonably priced for the excellent food presentation of the plate was top-notch. I will go again.
