In the heart of the East Devon countryside, surrounded by acres of farmland, you'll find the award-winning Greendale Farm Shop and it's family-friendly café & restaurant. The Greendale Farm Shop Café and Restaurant is much loved by visitors and locals alike. We offer a new extensive menu, created around many of the items sold in our shop and showcasing local produce from our farm and fishing boats. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are no problem and we have a children's menu for the little ones, too. We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as tea and coffee, delicious cakes and Devon cream teas.

Once you've eaten why not take a stroll along our family farm trail. The trails follow a level path that’s just right for pushchairs and little legs where you can say hello to all of the animals, including Oscar the Ostrich.

On Sunday and Monday evenings, from 3.30pm, our restaurant serves from our extensive fish and chip menu only.

    I ordered a salad with my omelette that was awful, tomatoes were freezing cold and tasteless the cucumber skin was hard too muck rocket and nothing else , very bland and unimaginative But worse was my plate smelt dirty and it put me off eating If it wasn’t for the fact we met friends who had traveled from Bristol to meet us I would have definitely complained

    Excellent quality food (breakfast) and drinks provided quickly (which were hot). Staff were attentive but not pestering.

    Very busy with other events going on but had a table booked and served pretty quickly.I Had fish & chips; others had; turkey roast; very large sandwich stack and two children each had sausage and mash with beans including cake for pudding all for around £67 great value With thanks Michael Truscott

    We asked for a table to put my family member's dogs safely. We were given a small table I'm a busy area, rather than a more quiet area. The waitress ended up tripping up the dogs and spilling glass and coffee everywhere. Why was my request about a table suitable for dogs ignored?

    Food is always excellent quality and quantity. Waiting staff were nice, although it took a little while to get service when we wanted to pay and leave and staff didn’t acknowledge us while they tended to other tasks. It was lovely and warm in the dining area, while it was so cold outside. Have been many times before and will continue to come back!

    We have visited many times over the past 5 years and unfortunately on the last few occasions, including today, the level of service hasn’t been great. We were seated for a good 20 minutes before any server acknowledged us. We tried to get attention of the staff multiple times and they unfortunately seemed quite disinterested. Once our order was placed our food didn’t arrive for approx. 30 minutes and one of the meals was very cold and had to be sent back. Granted it was a Saturday and I would understand if it was busy, but a large proportion of tables were empty. We are local and have enjoyed coming here in the past but it’s not somewhere we would choose to go if the service continues to be poor, especially with a young child that is hard to keep entertained whilst waiting for food.
