In the heart of the East Devon countryside, surrounded by acres of farmland, you'll find the award-winning Greendale Farm Shop and it's family-friendly café & restaurant. The Greendale Farm Shop Café and Restaurant is much loved by visitors and locals alike. We offer a new extensive menu, created around many of the items sold in our shop and showcasing local produce from our farm and fishing boats. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are no problem and we have a children's menu for the little ones, too. We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as tea and coffee, delicious cakes and Devon cream teas.

Once you've eaten why not take a stroll along our family farm trail. The trails follow a level path that’s just right for pushchairs and little legs where you can say hello to all of the animals, including Oscar the Ostrich.

On Sunday and Monday evenings, from 3.30pm, our restaurant serves from our extensive fish and chip menu only.

    Chose the Sunday roast beef today and it was superb and a very generous portion. The staff were friendly and efficient. Lovely ambiance and perfect treat after choosing our Christmas tree.

    Food and service excellent as always; we requested a specific table no when booking on line and, although this wasn’t available, we were offered an equally good alternative. Thanks and well done.

    After the long wait for our soup I didn’t expect it to be cold but it was a lovely flavour but would have been better hot

    Trying to enjoy breakfast with friends brought my puppy yes he was barking abit but he is a puppy . We got told we had to leave cause people was complaining not sure who ? Wasn’t impress don’t let dogs come in if don’t like it . Shame it wasn’t a pleasant experience staff kept making comments wasn’t relaxing won’t be doing it again .

    Excellent value for money. Fish really fresh and superb chips, not at all greasy. Garden peas taste as they should too. Pleasant, attentive, service.

    Chaotic and poorly managed check in and service. I have a recent leg injury and was on crutches. After waiting several minutes in a long queue while 2 people were trying to deal with one customer. I asked if I could sit down as I already had a reservation and couldn't stand any longer. The more senior of the two check in people said I would just have to wait! I gave up and went and sat down nearby at a bar stool to rest my leg. Then they couldn't find my reservation. I showed them my open table confirmation and they said it was a "technical error". They eventually showed me to a table where I waited 20 minutes for my 2 friends. Ordered a cappucino which never turned up. Turns out my friends were already there in a back room out of sight of the main cafe having been shown to a completely different table and were waiting for me! Then brought the wrong cake order for 2 of us which had to be exchanged.

    Our order was taken quickly, the food came at an acceptable time but not for the 1st time we had to chase up our drinks order as we were midway through our breakfasts and still no sign of them. They finally showed up but we had nearly finished eating by then. It would have been nice to have a drink to wash down the bacon sarnies with.

    Party of 9 for a family / birthday breakfast. Prompt attentive staff seated and orders taken quickly. Food of a good standard All in all great thank you
