Unfortunately this did not live up to its reviews. Charcuterie board appetizer was good but looking at receipt once home we didn't get the Happy Hour price! The seafood risotto was good just not served hot enough. The lasagna was the biggest disappointment. Dry, dry dry... Yes, i did tell server when asked how was everything' but only was offered an apology stated ' we do make it daily' and i'll let the kitchen know. . No new plate, reduction in bill?? The gelato was nice......I guess you can try something once. ...And this was it. We will not return.

This is the first time in years that I've had a disappointing meal at Grappa, MY neighborhood restaurant. I had the spaghetti carbonara and it was terribly bland and pretty uninteresting. My guest had the same reaction to it. We also had really poor service. After waiting 25 minutes of being ignored by our waiter, I finally asked him to come and take our order. He hadn't even taken a drink order, and the restaurant wasn't even full. It's not like he was crazy busy. Then we sat with empty appetizer plates for a long time before they were cleared, and our entrees were served. Same thing happened after we finished our entrees. All told the meal took almost 2 hours simply because the service was so slow. The restaurant was almost empty by the time we got our entrees, so I have no idea what our server was doing, but he wasn't paying attention to our table. Hopefully this won't keep happening in future visits.

We really enjoyed our meal there and everyone had a good time. The only thing lacking was attention to drink orders. We all would have ordered another beverage but were never asked. Food was great.

The service was better than I remembered. The server was knowledgeable of the entire menu and was kind enough to offer suggestions based on our likes. The food was amazing. Will definitely be returning

This is the second time Grappa has done this. We asked for a vegetarian option for the risotto and they ‘agreed’ that they can do that and then gave us the sausage risotto. Didn’t tell us they can’t do the vegetarian option.

Grappa Seattle offers a fantastic Italian dining experience, and my recent visit was nothing short of exceptional. The highlight of my meal was the seafood risotto, which was perfectly creamy, rich in flavor, and packed with fresh seafood. Each bite had a wonderful balance of tender rice, briny sweetness from the seafood, and just the right amount of seasoning. It truly transported me to the coast of Italy. Beyond the risotto, their Italian-inspired dishes are equally impressive. From the beautifully plated appetizers to the carefully crafted pastas, everything exudes authenticity and attention to detail. I also appreciated their mocktail selection, which offered a refreshing variety beyond the usual overly sweet sodas. It was a great touch that added to the overall experience. My only critique would be the portion sizes, which felt a bit on the smaller side. While the quality was top-notch, I wouldn’t have minded a slightly more generous serving. That said, Grappa’s warm ambiance, attentive service, and outstanding flavors make it a must-visit for Italian food lovers in Seattle. I’ll definitely be returning!
