   The restaurant was beautiful. Our server went above and beyond in offering suggestions and being patient as it was our first time there. When the food came out it was presented amazingly well and we enjoyed every bite.

   Had a great time, service was amazing, food was very good, and the seating / ambience and overall vibe of the restaurant was great. For the price you pay you definitely get what you pay for here.

   Our anniversary dinner at Georgia James had its moments but ultimately left us a bit disappointed. We were seated promptly at 8 with our reservations and enjoyed the charming ambiance provided by a live pianist. Our server was friendly, acknowledged our special celebration, and even brought us a couple of ½ glasses of bubbly—although we were surprised to find out we had to pay for it. Unfortunately, the timing of our service was off. Our first drink and appetizer arrived almost simultaneously, which didn’t allow us to savor the cocktail on its own. We shared a dish of steaks and mac-n-cheese am, but the steak—ordered medium rare—was undercooked. Asked for it to be cooked to the right temp but it got to the point where it seemed like it had been finished in a microwave, leaving an odd aftertaste. The after-dinner drink was also delayed and mishandled, further testing our patience. On the plus side, the complimentary dessert for our anniversary was a thoughtful touch. However, for a $300 dinner, we had expected a more refined and seamless experience.

   We are first time customers to Georgia James and came to celebrate my husband's birthday. Everything from the service, ambiance and especially the food was perfect. The staff was super friendly and not pretentious. Thanks for a fun evening - we'll be back soon.

   Fine dining prices without fine dining service. Waiter was new but disclosed this so his missteps were excusable. I will not mention those. The wait staff kept taking the wine list as if that was the only copy they had. We had to keep asking for it to order drinks. One of those times was the sommelier. We told him we were going to order a bottle of wine with our dinner. He took the wine list and said he would return for us to order. Not only did he not return in time for us to order, he ONLY returned because we said something to the waiter. Sommelier was fake; we did not care for his attitude. Cocktails were mediocre. The wait staff kept trying to take our food before we were finished. The wine we specifically ordered to drink with our entree did not make it to our table until well after our entree. The smashed and fried new potatoes were not even smashed. The potatoes had a heavy oil flavor and drenched with an aioli that tasted like straight mayo, no other flavor. Every dissatisfying detail would could be overlooked if isolated but altogether made for an unsatisfactory anniversary dinner experience. Will not return to this poorly executed establishment.

   Beautiful restaurant Food and service are excellent Jared-our server-made it even better Very good wine list and well prepared cocktails Highly recommend Both steaks and seafood are top notch You will not be disappointed

    I had the most amazing birthday dinner at Georgia James! from the second i walked in everyone was so accommodating and helpful, steak was cooked perfectly drinks and wine selection was extremely good! I will definitely continue to come back everytime i’m in Houston!
