    The menu offered a good selection of delicious meals to choose from. The portions were good and the staff were very friendly

    Excellent set dinner included with the Winter Escape Deal plus a bottle of wine. First class pea soup with truffle oil with just the right consistency plus a chunk of bread on the side. We both had the salmon on a bed of pea purée, just the right amount. Also, unusual to get 3 courses on a set complementary menu. A choice of desserts but also a cheese plate that didn’t entail a supplement and was a generous portion. Lovely helpful and friendly staff with a log fire to add to the ambience. A lovely surprise to get such good quality food in a historic hall.

    Tables and cutlery were very dirty. Service started off great but ended poor with us waiting 45 minutes for desserts and having to pay at the door as could not get the bill. Food was very nice but not what was listed on the menu. For the price and place I would have expected much better.

    Had a terrible visit 2 weeks ago and it really ruined the build up to today we were quite worried that today would be as bad as our last visit- thankfully it wasn’t the food was gorgeous the ambience was lovely and it was a really nice visit However service was completely absent Left to sit for ages 25 minutes without any interaction or drinks Apart from bringing us our main meal and dessert without any interaction there was no service at all There was No is everything ok or can I get you anything, no more drinks offered. Nothing Kind of marred the visit and didn’t feel welcome or as special as it should

    I have just been to Eastwell manor for what should have been a two hour afternoon tea with carols. Our booking was for 4pm. Nobody started singing until half past 4. They then packed away their things at 5pm. The waitresses then put the fire out and were moving tables around us as if we were a nusance and in their way. We weren't even offered another cup of tea and when we asked for one it was Luke warm. On leaving I asked to speak with the manager who wouldn't take any responsibility for our poor experience and said to speak to the reservation team about the time of the booking. We travelled from an hour away for this and we felt so disappointed. We have been to Eastwell Manor before for an afternoon tea and wanted to take our Nan as a treat but unfortunately didn't get the same experience as previous. As previously stated it should have been a two hour sitting and for the price that we paid(£42pp) i do not feel we received the full experience that we paid for as it was cut short and the customer service was poor.

    We went to Gardenia for dinner as part of a package hotel deal and it was excellent value. The staff were very warm, friendly and informative and we had a lovely meal in a lovely setting.

    Staff were over familiar. Calling me young man by an 18 year old was ridiculous. Sir or madam is the proper and respectful way to address clients. The bread and olives didn’t come very quickly and they forgot to bring half of it.  A wine was suggested with no questions around likes or dislikes. Beetroot Panacotta had no flavour.
