Welcome to our Home, Gallagher’s Boxty House.

A family owned restaurant that celebrates Traditional Irish Cuisine and Culture with a Modern twist.

We were proudly making Boxty for the last 36 years in the heart of Dublin's Cultural quarters, Temple Bar.

The Boxty recipes date back to 17th-18th century Ireland. Award winning chef Padraic Óg Gallagher reimagined the dishes and confidently recreated these classics in a 21st century setting without forgetting our humble past.

Here you will proudly find the trinity of Boxty- Boiled, Baked and Pan, as well as our own unique version of the French Fries – The Boxty Fries, made from Boxty Pancakes. In the 1980’s, Pádraic Óg was the first to Flip & Fill a Pan Boxty and create this restaurant - The now famous Gallagher’s Boxty House, placing Boxty centre stage to showcase the best of Irish produce and renowned Irish hospitality in an ambiance reminiscent of an old Irish kitchen. BRILLIANT dinner out! We knew it was going to be god when we arrive for our booking and the queue was out the door… BOOK AHEAD! Those who hadn't were being told it was a 1hr wait! From start to finish, Boxty was remarkable! We had drinks, mains, a side of spice chips (GET THESE! So delicious! They need to sell this separately!) and Irish coffee to finish the night off. It was all excellent! And Attila was out waiter, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ He was so attentive, thoughtful, efficient and suave 😂 Book Boxty NOW!

We were seated promptly, and greeted with a warm smile from everyone. We enjoyed our chatting with our server Nerpiz(sp?) from Turkey. Our food was FANTASTIC, and the dessert was a delightful finish to a wonderful meal. Thank you so much!!
