This was not a great experience. Service was slow despite the restaurant being mostly empty. We ordered an appetizer and asked to start with their beat salad. Took forever to come out and then they brought everything out at once - app, salad, and entrees. Paid a lot to be very disappointed. For a Valentine’s Day dinner you would think they would be better prepared.

From the moment we walked into the Fountain Lounge at the Waldorf Astoria in New Orleans, the service was outstanding. It’s rare to have an experience where every team member you encounter is exceptional, but this was one of those rare instances. The staff went above and beyond, creating a seamless and memorable evening. A special thank you to Liam (Host), Thedriana (Server), Ronnie (Food Runner), and Eddie (Server) for their attentiveness and hospitality. Their service truly elevated the experience. The live music added to the ambiance, and the atmosphere exuded understated elegance—classic New Orleans charm at its finest. Whether you’re stopping in for a drink or a full meal, this is a spot worth visiting for both its refined setting and impeccable service. Highly recommend!

I love going to the Fountain Lounge. I was disappointed to see that the menu had been slightly changed. There was an item (some type of fondue) on the menu that I very much enjoyed and looked forward to eating it again. Sadly, it was not on there anymore. One more thing, please consider serving softer butter that can be spread on bread. The noise level was horrible. The gentleman playing the piano was fantastic but was just too much with ppl talking, visiting, etc. The barrel chairs need to be replaced. They were so low the table seemed to be right under my chin. Once seated, it seemed forever to give our order. Lots of ppl working but seemed to be few to take our order. It wasn't an unpleasant experience but it was not the same Fountain Lounge that I have enjoyed in the past. I will definitely be back.

Chicken dinner was wonderful. Drinks were also very good. But the lounge was understaffed, so service was extremely slow.

Went at Christmas and decided to eat at the Fountain Lounge since we wanted to see the lights at the Roosevelt Hotel. Average meal for price and restaurant isn't anything spectacular.

Service was slow and inattentive. Food was very tasty but over priced. $160 for two salads, two small plates, two glasses of wine and one replacement dessert (10 minutes after ordering the chocolate lava cake we were told they didn't have it and we were some of the first diners for the evening... poor management). We won't be going back when there are so many good options nearby.

Alter many dining expenences at the Fountain Lounge, this is the last. This is not the 1st time service was slow, and yet we tried again. It took a long time to get our drinks order in and almost an hour to get more "dirt" for our dirty martini. Our actual meal came out missing our friend's pasta dish! We were told that they'd get that out to us ASAP, which didn't happen. Cancelled the order, and minutes after that the pasta came out from the kitchen. The waitstaff were all friendly, but there seems to be a lack of communication between service staff and the kitchen. Very disappointing as this could be such a wonderful place to dine all year long.
