                          I had made a request to be seated at a table, and instead they placed us in a booth. The restaurant is too brightly illuminated for an evening fine-dining experience. The brussel sprouts, while delicious, seemed more like a salad than an appetizer- very difficult to eat as they were not served whole (maybe that should be denoted on the menu?). $16 for four shrimps to be added to my steak is considerably overpriced. Also, Instead of two rolls, perhaps a basket with some crackers and breadsticks AND the rolls. Service was slow. I probably won’t dine there again- but, we were having an experience so I tried to make the best of it.

                          This was our first time here. Everything was "just right" -- menu, seating, food, etc. The restaurant was crowded and we had a reservation for a high top table, but because of someone in our party, we hoped we could change to a regular table when we got there. The hostesses went out of their way to accommodate our request. Even though there was a large party in the restaurant which needed a lot of attention, we felt like we were their center of attention. Thank you!

                          Amazing food and cocktails. Definitely worth the price. Walked right in with my reservation without waiting.

                          We had a lovely anniversary dinner. Food and service were amazing. John (old John…his words) was a wonderful waiter. If you are short (I’m 5’3”) you might skip the booth seating. My feet couldn’t touch the floor ;)

                          Our server was given a 14 top table so we were given very little of her attention. Food was ok but not upscale. Wouldn’t go back.

                          Everything was cooked perfectly. The macaroni and cheese was perfect and the risotto was good as well.

                          We had an excellent experience when we dined in at Five Steakhouse. It was a busy night. John was very attentive to our needs and knowledgeable about the menus and drinks. Our delmonico ribeyes were juicy and perfectly grilled and the zip sauce had a delightful taste. The clam chowder was awesome and came in a very cute round cocotte with lid and tiny tabasco sauce. They served us with a very creamy and flavorful mac and cheese. And we also enjoyed our delicious drinks; spicy margarita and Papa’s punch.

                          It was a wonderful way to celebrate New Years Eve. And walking around St John's after dinner was grand: the paintings, the decorations, etc. And the annex was like something out of a Hollywood movie! However, the calimari was a little tough and rubbery for my liking. But the 8oz prime fillet was exactly to my taste, except for the really charred (burnt) exterior. Overall, a deliteful evening. Will be back.
