Fishworks - Swallow Street is an absolute essential for seafood lovers. The restaurant offers a traditional wet fish counter where you can buy fish to take home and cook yourself, or you can select any fish or crustacean with our fishmonger and have it cooked there and then to your liking.

This chic stylish restaurant is only minutes away from the bustle of Piccadilly hidden away in an exclusive street. The whole restaurant opens its glass window façade doors creating a fantastic atmosphere great for corporate dining and enjoying a pre-theatre meal before hitting the West End.

Blackboards display our daily landings or diners can choose from our classic menu with delights such as piled-high fruits de mer, scrumptious South Coast scallops or simply the best gourmet cod and chips you will ever taste!

    Great staff, wonderful menu for fish lovers. Would be a good idea to have a chicken option for people that don’t like fish.

    As always, had a very enjoyable meal. The food is consistently good and everyone enjoyed the meal, and even those in our party who are not fans of fish found something they enjoyed on the menu. We also shared a bottle of the house sauvignon blanc which was delicious. Our waitress was particularly lovely - very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I have been a fan of the Fishworks chain from its very beginning and it remains a "go to" option for me when looking for a good quality, reasonably priced meal in central London with family and friends.

    Last night, we returned to Fishworks, drawn back by memories of their exquisite seafood and warm service. From the moment we entered, the gracious Polish manager, recognised me from my previous visit and made me feel truly welcome—a rare touch in London. Our charming, young server guided us through the menu with care and enthusiasm, offering insightful recommendations. I opted for the grilled dover sole, which was cooked to perfection. The fish was so fresh it might well have leapt straight from the sea to my plate. The wine recommended by Katya, a crisp Sancerre was also perfectly chilled and complimented both of our dishes! The newly refreshed décor and subtle, but elegant decorations added a touch of modern elegance without losing the timeless charm. With its refined yet inviting atmosphere, Fishworks continues to set the standard for exceptional seafood dining. We shall certainly return!

    Excellent food and service at reasonable value (taking the seasonal set menu). As usual in restaurants these days, wine adds disproportionately to the bill.

    Good value fish - the bouillabaisse was outstanding but there wasn't much seafood with the linguine. The service should be more attentive (may be short-staffed?) but overall it was a good experience.

    We have eaten here many times. Always good value for money. Today was no different. It was busy but staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. Can usually guarantee oysters on the menu which made an excellent starter. Main courses consisted of mussels and sea bream. Both very tasty. I don’t know who made my margarita but it was excellent. A carafe of Cote de Province Rose was also enjoyed. We shared a cheese plate as main course portions are generous. Very good as usual.

    Lovely lunch. Service efficient (not too fast) and very friendly. Three Brixham fish soups, two seafood linguines and one fritto misto all finished. Clean plates all round.
