THIS IS THE WORST MANAGED RESTAURANT I HAVE BEEN IN FOR MANY YEARS. I booked a table for 6 people for April 18 at 7:30PM for a very special occasion, and I made the booking about 2 weeks in advance. I booked an outside table and confirmed the reservation twice before arriving. On both occasions the response was "No problem, we'll have everything ready for you". I arrived at the restaurant on time and was told the table wasn't ready. In fact we didn't get to sit at our table until 8:20PM. When I asked to speak to a manager, nobody was sure who the manager actually was....amazing! A young lady finally came over who was dressed differently than the servers so I suppose she qualified as a manager. When we finally got to our table, she said that they'd comp 3 starters for 6 people to make up for the 50 minute delay. The food a Fins is good (but not inexpensive), the setting is good but unfortunately the lack of any competent management ruins everything else. If you know you have a reservation for 6 people at 7:30, then you manage prior reservations accordingly. Pure amateurs!

I had forgotten that Sharkey's was closed so my husband and I decided to get a drink and appetizers at next-door Fins. It was confusing at the get go. The hostess was far from the entrance of the outside dining area and we weren't even sure who she was or why she was standing there. We made our way upstairs and asked other patrons how this all worked..we were told to sit anywhere. Turned out that there was an UNMARKED designated section for bar and small bites fare. We waited for no less than 10 minutes before someone came to our table to tell us we were in the wrong area and had to move. (and the restaurant was basically empty) So we moved literally 15 ft away and then we waited for 15 more minutes and NO ONE came to give us menus and/or take our order. (and many walked right by us) We left. That was by far the worst set-up I have EVER seen here in my area. Horrible. (and their $$$ are high, they should be better than that) Anyway, we were there to celebrate my birthday and we will not be back.
