Built in 1927, Fig313 stands today as an original historical landmark of San Clemente, with a history that is meant to be shared with its seaside community. Carefully constructed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, distinctive design features include red-tile roofs, white stucco walls, hand-crafted windows and arches, painted tiles, and open-air courtyards.
Originally owned for the first 33 years by John and Jeanette Riley, 313 El Camino Real was renowned as Riley’s Waffle and Coffee Shop. Legend has it that actor John Wayne frequented the restaurant for a hearty American breakfast along with many travelers from all over the world. From 1960 on, Riley’s Café would change ownership many times, evolving into a furniture store, French restaurant, tequila company, and catering business. In 2012, the current owners purchased the property and began renovations and restoration, while staying true to the integrity of the original style.

Went for a valentine dinner with my wife and our 8 yr old daughter. Food was excellent, service was great! They even interacted with our daughter to make her included. Highly recommend. Will definitely be returning.

First time back in a while, and we were not disappointed. Our server Adam was helpful, attentive, and made us feel welcome on a busy night. His helper Gabe was a bright light that added a special touch to the evening. As usual, the food was delicious and impeccable!

My wife and I live in Newport Beach and we enjoy meeting our son and daughter-in-law, who live in Oceanside, for dinner in San Clemente. We have tried all of the top rated restaurants in town, but our favorite is Fig@313. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet; the service is very attentive; and the food is outstanding. Particularly interesting in the food category is the use of figs in some of the dishes. For example, figs are included in the brussels sprouts appetizer; and they make it a truly wonderfully tasting dish.

Great meal and great service. We sat inside which was nice but will try outside next time - it looks really inviting with fire pit and heat lamps. My husband had the special wagyu steak which he loved. Pretty pricey but a nice splurge. I had the seafood pasta which was very tasty. Corset salad is large and great to share. Looking forward to returning and trying more off of the menu.

We love Fig@313! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the food is amazing, and the service is fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience. From uniquely crafted drinks to the delicious appetizers, and from the delectable entrees to the specialty desserts, the evening was a delightful and enjoyable culinary adventure!
