Always have liked Earls Square One and have been many times but this time around it didn't quite live up to expectations. It was far too loud to really have any kind of a conversation and while our server was friendly and professional, she left us waiting too long at times. Food was pretty good but not served hot enough so it may have been waiting somewhere before being served. Call out to the hostesses who seated us who were excellent and also made a point of wishing us well on our way out when we departed which is always a nice touch.

Wide tables and comfortable seating means lots of space for food, but not as intimate for sitting close on a date. The candlelight, soft colours, and overall colours make for a cool, subtle upscale experience. The decor does well to counterbalance the overstimulation of being in such an enthusiastic volume of other diners. Delicious desserts (carmelized cheesecake and the seasonal pecan tart were great), and the plant-based options are a blessing for vegetarian diners. Pay attention that the V on the menu means the dish can be made vegetarian, but does not seem to be inherently vegetarian. Mention your food restrictions up front! Staff were polite with great memories, and checked in, but were not nosy. It struck a good balance. Paying is an atypical touchscreen but smooth. Bathroom doors are very heavy without automation, so heads up for accessibility concerns.

Food delivery was slow. I ordered the 6 oz steak and frites (happy hour) and was told that it sold out but a 9 oz was available at full price. The steak and frites arrived and the fries were T best warm. The steak was perfect. Ordered a Stella and when it arrived it was "Flat".

We sat down, took 20 min to get glasses for the water, another 15 for our drinks to arrive. It wasn't an entirely busy night. Appetizers took quite a bit. Music was alright, maybe a touch lower. I'm not a negative Nancy and enjoy a great vibe to enjoy but tonight it wasn't a good vibe. Unfortunately one bad experience I will not be coming back. My first time was good, sadly second wasnt

Well the server accidentally broke the water carafe and spilled water and glass pieces all over my dress. I understand accidents happen but she should have done more than just say sorry considering I had to walk around with a wet dress not to mention the bits off glass I kept finding throughout the day.

Love Earls, always a great dining experience. It was very busy, but our server was attentive, and we were served in a timely manner. Perfect for date night.

The restaurant was full yet service was quick . Food was outstanding as always . Waiter has great customer service and waiting skills .

We went for a birthday lunch, which I specified on the reservation. No mention of it being anyone's birthday was brought up. When I brought it up, the waiter didn't even say happy birthday, nor ask if we wanted dessert. The service was extremely slow. It took over 40 minutes to get one drink that was ordered at the start of the meal. We had to ask for everything, plates, cutlery, etc. - and they only came back once, so the food ended up being cold by the time we got everything. Just really bad service, I've always had a good experience at other Earl's but this one was bad.
