At Di Paolo’s our journey began with our beloved grandparents, Maria & Albert Di Paolo, who humbly opened a family pizzeria and small grocery store known as Italian Kitchen. As the aroma of freshly baked pizzas and the taste of homemade sauce filled the air, they, along with our father, Michael Di Paolo, expanded, adding more seating to accommodate our growing clientele.
Before long, the bustling atmosphere and the buzz of the satisfied customers prompted them to evolve into a full-fledged restaurant where families and friends could gather to enjoy well portioned Abruzzese meals and lively conversation, while being entertained with live music throughout the restaurant.

DiPaolo’s was an oasis of deliciousness in an otherwise run down area. The look and feel of the restaurant was perfect to me. The food was amazing and the portions, 😳! Wow! I will be visiting again!

As a loyal customer of DiPaolo's for many years, I have always appreciated your outstanding meals, exceptional service, and great value. However, I feel compelled to share my experience from the evening of January 3, 2025, which unfortunately fell short of the high standards I’ve come to expect from your establishment. Our party of seven had reservations at 6:00 PM and was seated promptly upon arrival. Initially, we were enjoying our time together, but service delays quickly became evident. It took about 15 minutes before our server approached to take drink orders. Once the drinks began arriving, they were served in sets of two, leading to some guests finishing their drinks before others were even served. Additionally, despite DiPaolo’s reputation for its bread and antipasti, we had to request these staples approximately 45 minutes into our visit. When our entrees arrived, they were served inconsistently, with one or two plates brought out at a time over a span of 10 minutes. This left some plates cold by the time everyone had been served. While we chose not to raise these concerns with our server at the time to avoid further delays, the quality of the food compounded our disappointment. Three of the plates included gnocchi, which was severely undercooked and not up to the standards we have always enjoyed at DiPaolo's. Perhaps most frustrating was being required to order from a New Year’s Eve menu—three days after the holiday. The inflated pricing, which might be justified for New Year’s Eve events, felt inappropriate on January 3. We were not informed about this limited menu when making our reservation or upon being seated. With no other comparable dining options in the area, leaving was not a practical choice. For context, our party spent over $700 on this dinner, including $79 for a crab cake dinner and $59 for asparagus-stuffed gnocchi. This felt excessive, especially given the quality and service we experienced that evening. I wanted to share this feedback

Food was delicious. Our table was set in an awkward spot right near the front door against the bar. Felt like I was sitting in the lobby of the restaurant. I didn’t want to sit in a bar and have this type of food. I was expecting a nicer restaurant feel. I can’t say that I got the full restaurant experience sitting so close to the front door. Maybe I’ll try it again in the future and request not to sit in the bar area.

Everything was delicious, however we never received the bread and anti pasta without asking our waitress more than once for it. It wasn’t brought out once we sat down like it has been done in the past.
