Brussel sprout waren mega und auch die Margerita. Pizza. Das Ceviche war nicht so toll wie auch die crab croquettes. Der Service war ok aber nicht mehr.

We made these reservations for our Christmas dinner. At the time the later dining time was available. They were out of numerous key items on the menu. The menu is very limited itself. Unfortunately, we had to ask for refills and I believe it’s eight dollars for an iced tea which is outrageous . I think overall if you can enjoy before sunset and actually enjoy the view that would be probably the number one seller.. our server was very sweet but shorthanded, and couldn’t fulfill the request which were minimal in a timely manner.

We had reservations for 11 on Christmas night. Our table was ready when we arrived and had attentive service from the moment we checked in. Our server was very good from refilling water to remembering who had what items when it came to splitting the bill. Food was very good. We ordered numerous appetizers, all good, along with our entrees. The not so good points is they had a limited menu for food. They also did not have a few items on the menu that evening. It's a bit loud in there to carry on much of a conversation.

We were quite disappointed. We reserved a table for two at 7 PM in the outdoor area. Instead, we were seated at a tiny table on the edge of a walkway, where we had to sit next to each other due to limited space. When I reserve a table for two, I expect to be seated opposite my partner so that we can look each other in the eye. The place was crowded and quite loud, making it difficult to have a normal conversation, even sitting next to each other. We ordered soda with free refills, but the drinks were only refilled once, and that was after we had already finished eating. The glasses were smaller than the initial ones, and my husband’s Coke tasted watered down. For starters, we ordered sliders, followed by a Caesar Salad with Chicken and Roasted Salmon with mashed potatoes as entrées. Unfortunately, all the food arrived at the same time, completely overloading our tiny table with plates. The sliders tasted no better than something from a fast food chain. The chicken in the salad was very dry and lacked seasoning. The salmon was cooked adequately but wasn’t juicy, and the accompanying Brussels sprouts were deep-fried and extremely oily. While the sprouts were well-seasoned, this did not match the mashed potatoes, which were bland in comparison. The waitress was friendly but not very attentive. Overall, our experience was extremely disappointing, and we spent far too much money on below-average food. It was the worst dining experience of our three-week vacation in Hawai’i. I cannot understand why Deck has so many good reviews. I would not recommend it at all.

Upon entering Deck, it felt very inviting. The views of Diamond Head in the distance was awesome. We had a party of 11 for Christmas breakfast at 8:30am. The first issue was how long it took to take our order. The restaurant was not busy, however, it seemed like our waiter was preoccupied. When we finally finished ordering, my four year old wanted a hot chocolate. It took quite a while for the waiter to return to check on us. When I told him she wanted to order a hot chocolate, his reply was that they have it but it might take a while to receive it. I felt he was almost discouraging me from ordering it. The restaurant still wasn’t full at this point and despite whatever reluctance he had with us ordering the beverage to begin with it didn’t not take an absorbent amount of time to receive it. When our food came out, there was chaos. Although most of our meals were similarly, there should have been a delivery order within the wait staff to indicate who had what meal/preparation. My daughter’s kids meal was delivered to an adult who began to eat her food. When my daughter and brother’s meals didn’t come, we began to inquire at the table. My meal was cold and my eggs were not prepared as I had asked. When the kid/adult meal mix up was discovered, we were actually asked if my daughter would accept the plate that was already being consumed by another family member. I promptly declined and requested that she be brought a fresh meal. The waitress, Chloe, was apologetic for our experience and seemed to try to make things better by rushing our order. She also appeared to be wearing several hats as she was push dish carts, busing tables, running food taking order, and what appear as every duty as assigned. It seemed as though the other wait staff didn’t share her since of urgency. I attempted to order a side of sausage that never came. I would have given the food a better rating, if it wasn’t cold. The restaurant concept and menu was great however but poorly executed.
