    We NEVER go wrong eating at Davis St ft. Chef Mark Holley. Tonight was the "Mardi Gras Experience" and it did not disappoint! The Blackened Redfish & sides were beautifully presented but tasted even better than it looked. My husbands BBQ'd Shrimp and all that came with it, was completely devoured including total sopping of all semblance of gravy. Needless to say, he all but licked the plate clean! (hehe). Chef Holley and his exceptional crew ALWAYS make us feel welcome & special as he personally visits every table to make sure everyone enjoy their experience at Davis St just as we do. We truly appreciated this special dining experience...esp considering the cost was remarkable as well. Can't wait to experience the next 'Super" special Mark!!!

    The Thai snapper never disappoints! We live in Manvel and are happy to travel to Houston for what is , hands down, the best dish ever!

    Enjoyed Chef Evelyn Rock's Soul Food Dinner on this visit. Moist, tender & flavorful smothered pork chops in onion gravy. Fried Red Fish could have used a little more spice, but did have just the right amount of crispiness. ALL vegetable sides for the table were absolutely delicious. Cornbread Lagniappe complimented the tender greens perfectly. German Chocolate cake & Banana Pudding were luscious. Would return for a Chef Rock dinner @ Davis Street anytime.

    Chef Rock’s Soul Food Sunday meal took me back to my grandmother’s kitchen, it was absolutely DELICIOUS! Had to purchase her cookbook to try making the recipes myself:-)

    This restaurant is a treasure. We felt at home the moment we walked in. We were greeted by Chef Holley and seated very quickly. Our server,Jazz, was delightful as well as being well versed with the offerings and personal recommendations for our first visit. The food was incredible. Very much a southern, creole influence. Save room for the coconut cake, to die for. Kevin, the sommelier and beverage manager visited with us and explain the ideas and history behind the restaurant. It was such a pleasant evening. We will definitely be back.

    Red Snapper was amazing along with the brussel sprouts, bread pudding, chargrilled oysters, and Thai shrimp. Drinks were strong but still tasted great. I was with a large group so the service took a little long but all the staff was attentive. Would definitely go again.

    Terrible service . Didn’t see a waiter for over 20 minutes. Extremely slow service. They ran out of most of food entrees. Asked to see a manager and nobody ever came . Ruined my night
