Beautiful Modern Mediterranean restaurant by Chefs Laura and Sayat (Star Chefs and San Francisco Chronicle Rising Stars) at the Main Parade Lawn in the heart of the Presidio National Park. The restaurant's menus feature Presidio-inspired seasonal craft cocktails, a progressive wine menu, and a cuisine that balances the comfort of familiar Mediterranean flavors with California sensibilities.

In cohesion with the Presidio National Park, the design features soft, natural colors; repurposed furniture items from the Presidio; and a mural and a hand-drawn wall paper by Bay Area artist Emily Parkinson. Diners can enjoy a patio with a view of Alcatraz; an intimate private dining room; a lofty main dining room surrounded by windows on two sides; a cozy bar that is a local favorite; and an open-concept kitchen counter with counter seats and high tables.

    Had the chef's menu which was great! Loved the eggplant dolmas as well as the pasta. Would return for sure.

    One of my favorite restaurants in SF. Consistently good food and great service. Yummy drinks and desserts too!

    Pleasant room with lots of space between tables, but very noisy. The Chef's Menu ($85) got off to a magnificent start with great appetizers, including wonderful pita bread, hummus, muhammara, smoked yogurt dip and beet salad. The dishes that followed were good but not as satisfying, though the braised pork shoulder was flavorful and fork-tender. The desserts (date cake and two ice creams) were disappointing. The wine list is quite extensive and interesting and fairly priced. The service was quite variable -- our waiter was very good, but other wait staff who brought dishes from the kitchen only sometimes adequately explained the many dishes they were presenting. We had very high expectations, and while it was good, this place did not meet our expectations.

    Wonderful evening. The breaking bread was fantastic. We enjoyed the chicken and the trout. We definitely will be back.

    Love this restaurant. Such a wonderful menu & preparation, presentation, and service are almost flawless. My only complaint is when I wasn’t paying attention, my wonderful cocktail was removed while still a quarter full. I’d been looking forward to those last sips. Looking forward to returning many times in the future.
