   Great to see Cru Bar back again .. Extremely well represented by staff Kate and Jason who showed a real passion and pride for this iconic Brisbane establishment .

   Lovely entree meal and drinks. Beautiful setting, great atmosphere, delicious cheese selection. Staff could have been more attentive with drinks but otherwise a lovely experience. Would highly recommend.

   Beautiful venue, but poor service. Only the manager acknowledged us when he noticed no one had served us after being seated for over 15 minutes. We only stayed for 1 drink as we were not approached after finishing our first glass of wine.

On the last Friday night of February 2025, my wife and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at CRU Bar in Brisbane—and what an experience it was! Choosing the tasting menu on a whim, we were blown away by the exceptional quality of both the food and service. The dishes were beautifully presented, perfectly balanced, and bursting with flavor—each course a delightful surprise. But what truly elevated the evening was the outstanding service. Our French waiter, newly arrived in Australia, was an absolute gem—knowledgeable, attentive, and incredibly pleasant. His experience and passion for hospitality were evident, making our night even more enjoyable. For anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience in Brisbane, CRU Bar is a must-visit! Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this spot delivers on all fronts. We’ll definitely be back!

   One can only feel sorry for the kitchen who provide outstanding food that is served by the cast of MAF’s. Initial order was forgotten in what was an odd conversation. We were not surprised that the order was not entered. When we reordered one item was missed and another was duplicated. The server who delivered the food was completely rude. Food was top class yet front of house delivered a very poor experience.

   We were really disappointed with the service. It took a considerable amount of time for the staff to take our drink orders. We then had to wave down staff to order food after the drinks came out. No one came over to our table to check in on us for drinks, until the very end when we were about to leave. It's a shame because we would have definitely spent more on drinks probably ordered dessert if the wait staff were more attentive. As for the food, everything was to satisfaction except for the steak which was fairly average for the price they charge. In saying that, the cocktails are always excellent here and very consistent.

    Our waiter Morgan he was very polite, friendly and excellent service. Foot was spectacular like always great compliments to the chef &kitchen staff. The tasting menu was delicious and looking forward coming back. Chef and all staff are doing an awesome job that is why people coming back again and again. Judy and Garry Lord
