Brought to you by Award Winning Chef Michael Chiarello and located at Pier 5 on the bustling San Francisco Waterfront, Coqueta is inspired by the cuisines of Spain. Chef Chiarello feels that Spain’s signature ‘small plates’ coupled with the social vibrancy of their dining scene is the perfect combination for San Francisco, which has its own deep-rooted history with the country. Focusing on regional dishes from Madrid, Catalonia, the Basque Country and beyond, the menu will feature Chiarello's interpretation of traditional Spanish cuisine and, as has always been his tradition, will highlight the bounty of fresh, local ingredients from land and sea.

Coqueta means “flirt” or “infatuation” in Spanish, and represents Michael Chiarello and his team’s exploration and interpretation of Spanish Cuisine, wine and inspired cocktails, while highlighting the bounty of Northern California.

    Our first time to this restaurant and the food was excellent very well prepared and well presented. The flavors were great and clean and crisp. Some unique twists on some traditional Spanish dishes. Served in a traditional way but in bite-size portions that were attractive and flavorful. Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely will return well worth the visit.

    I came here all the time for lunch when I lived in SF; I was in for a conference, and decided to go to dinner, which was much more crowded. Staff was, eg, dealing with a table of about 24, so they were slammed and the restaurant was very loud. After about 20 minutes of not being greeted by a server, I asked one sprinting by if someone was assigned to me, and I cannot emphasize enough how incredibly kind and attentive she (and the other slammed staff) were to me for the rest of my time. The food, as always, was incredibly tasty — I always get the salmon toasts, which have a wonderful honey taste, and this time I ordered patatas bravas and garlic shrimp, as well as gin and tonics. As someone who travels solo for work and pleasure frequently, I always like to note when a restaurant treats a solo diner with the right combination of attentiveness and leave-you-in-peace, and the combination of great service and great food here makes this a regular SF stop for me.

    Delicious small bites! We tried most of them and all were great! Got too full before we got to the paella but a neighboring table had it and it looked delicious!! The cocktails were beautiful!

    About as authentic as you can get outside of Spain. The cheeses, jamon, salchichon and chorizo were excellent. Huevos rotos were not authentic but really good. A couple of dishes were over elaborate, the albondigas didn't need the richness of the duck meat and the croquetas were a bit too creamy. Pulpo was beautifully cooked but hadn't been tenderized fully. Overall A+ though

    We had an excellent meal here. Our server Eduardo was great and super helpful with our myriad of food allergies. We look forward to returning.

    Edwardo gave us excellent customer service! Also, the table buser with a name that starts with a "B" was very attentive as well. We felt cozy, warm and pampered. My paella was delicious and my Husband and Son enjoyed their steak platter. All in all a WONDERFUL experience! Thank You!

    I will definitely recommend this place,if I could give them a 20 stars I would.Great food, the staff was on top of every detail I always have a great experience everytime I go. The location is perfect with the bay view.
