Brought to you by Award Winning Chef Michael Chiarello and located at Pier 5 on the bustling San Francisco Waterfront, Coqueta is inspired by the cuisines of Spain. Chef Chiarello feels that Spain’s signature ‘small plates’ coupled with the social vibrancy of their dining scene is the perfect combination for San Francisco, which has its own deep-rooted history with the country. Focusing on regional dishes from Madrid, Catalonia, the Basque Country and beyond, the menu will feature Chiarello's interpretation of traditional Spanish cuisine and, as has always been his tradition, will highlight the bounty of fresh, local ingredients from land and sea.

Coqueta means “flirt” or “infatuation” in Spanish, and represents Michael Chiarello and his team’s exploration and interpretation of Spanish Cuisine, wine and inspired cocktails, while highlighting the bounty of Northern California.

We got there fairly early and the noise level was low enough for talking and hanging out. Around 6:30 ish the crowds rolled in and it got a little busy/energetic and hard to listen and maintain a convo. Overall food and service 10/10 😁

Dinng at Coqueta was a wonderful. Cocktails, tapas, paella, service and ambiance were such that I would recommend to anyone that enjoys Spanish cuisine.

Started off great, got water drinks ordered everything at once. Then got drinks fist 4 tapas quickly even paella was done fairly fast. But our drinks and water were empty, never refilled, never asked if we wanted another. Usually we have 3 drinks each. The staff delivered all our food fast. The food was well presented and delicious. Service was very poor for this level of restaurant. Hopefully the waiter just had an off night..

We were in San Francisco for the week and ended it with a visit to this Spanish restaurant for my birthday. The hostess was really accommodating and got us a seat inside. We had an AMAZING waiter from Serbia, Nicolas. He guided us through our making the best choices for what we wanted. We had an INCREDIBLE food experience. Visit Coqueta, you won’t regret it!

What a wonderful find! If you enjoy Tapas you will love COQUETA! It's such a beautiful location, for starters but the food was wonderful and the staff was amazing. After two hours, I just wanted to keep ordering and sampling all the delicious dishes - I did not want to leave. The grilled octopus and the patatas bravas were exceptional. I would definitely come back and am recommending to all my friends and family.

Delicious creative tapa. Beautiful location, open and spacious, of course the waterside views. Service was excellent despite the reservation glitch. Recommend!!

Went here for lunch on Feb. 24. Weather cooperated and we sat outside. The red sangria is their in house recipe and the best I have had anywhere. We had a variety of warm tapas, every one of which was first rate. Service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

We had such a great experience! Nicholas, our server, provided us with great recommendations to compliment our choices from the menu. The food was exquisitely prepared and tasted soooo good! The drink/wine list was great. Overall a phenomenal meal and experience! Will be coming back!
