    Came here for a special occasion and, unfortunately, the best I can give it is ok. I ordered the salmon medium well. Unfortunately, it ended up be served medium rare. I brought it home and will just cook it through myself. Not sure if the server put it in wrong or the kitchen doesn't know the difference between medium rare and medium well! Others at the table said their food was good, but no one seemed to be raving about it as they often do when we dine out. At first I thought the prices seemed reasonable, but when the plates came out, I realized they are about half the portion size of many other places. So, unfortunately, it ultimately seemed overpriced for what you got. When the food was ready, the server brought the first 3 plates out and then it was at least 7-10 minutes before the other people at the table were served their dinners, so the first people to be served ended up with cold food. The server never came back to ask how everything was and we had to ask him to refill the water carafes and to bring the check. It's a beautiful restaurant; it just didn't live up to what I was hoping it would be! If future reviews tell me different, I'd go back and give it another try.

    The ambiance and service were exceptional. The drinks were great. The food took quite awhile and arrived cold, the portions were much smaller than other tables had received. The manager took our feedback very seriously and was kind, gracious and receptive which helped to turn the experience around.

    It was a pretty quiet Saturday night for our visit. So service was quite prompt. We really enjoyed the brussels sprout appetizer. My wife and I just split the chicken sandwich because we saw how big it was when served to a nearby table. That worked out well. No dessert.

    Excellent menu. Comfortable seating. Excellent kale salad, mussels. Good scallops ( portion a bit small ). Excellent service.

    Happy hour burger was great. It came with fries. I love Harvarti cheese so that was a nice choice. Server Lexi was very attentive and accomodating.

    Commoner used to be a favorite. The best part of Commoner now is their cocktails. I am so disappointed in their new menu. This is the second time I've tried it and I can't even believe it. They changed their meatloaf recipe. why? There must be someone new back there. I ordered a burger and iI think they must have thought I ordered a slider because the patty was about 1/2 the size it should be. Overall, the appetizers are lackluster, best app was the bread. (that's saying something). I no longer trust the entrees to be delicious like it used to be. We've had so many birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations at commoner and it was so reliable and good. I think the restaurant knows - looking around on a friday/saturday night it was not crowded at all. I feel bad for the owners. I will not be going back for awhile until I hear from people that they've gone back to the previous menu or have changed something. It's sad to experience the decline of something that was so good...

    We have been going to Commoner for years and loved it. We have favorite servers ( David and Alex). We have noticed small changes recently and have not particularly liked them. Drinks are smaller but same price. Quality of buns on sandwiches has gone down. And the chicken sandwich has changed a lot, and not in a good way. The mussels are now accompanied with somewhat stale tasting pieces of bread rather than the fries that were always included. I know things change with time and new people, but hopefully for the better….
